Somethings missing

Postby John Markie » Wednesday 24th 2016f February 2016 11:32:27 PM

from this forum. It seems to have lost a lot of its sparkle and its controversy. I always enjoyed the "banter" that was posted, but seems that has disappeared a bit, along with one or two regular posters. Have they been banned, I wonder?
A.P.K.A. - alba bairn. I don't know why they "suspended" my previous account? Ask them.....

I agree, Alba Bairn in particular.

Used to like him nominate an u20 starlet to follow.
That was the young man's death nail, and boy did we never let him forget it. Chris Mitchell anyone?

Do you want to restart politics, referendum again?
I could quite happily praise Trump, brexiteers, the Union and lots of other controversial issues but most people on here don't like anyone that opposes the SNP view on life.

This forum is certainly a pale shadow of what it once was, though there is a fine line between banter and the spoutings of an ar$ehole ( not aimed at anyone in particular, honest guv )

Just as I thought!

I would class this as a paradox, but you'd Be left wondering what a pair of boots had to do with it?

You're no' right in the noggin.

So filled with hate and twisted by Fox/Daily Heil/UKIP mentalness, it's sad to see.

Saddest thing ive seen recently is WOS.
A mutual admiration society of the worst kind.
No alternative views allowed.
Try Guido Fawkes - much classier.

Anyone that disagrees with dicky is an "idiot".

Two minutes after complaining about lack of democracy and free speech.

Classic unionist intellect there.

There's a few.

Alba and Offshore both binned it after the referendum I think, and nobody's heard from geeo41 for donkey's. Now that's one I could imagine had been banned as he would wheel out the old expletives and sexual metaphors at the drop of a hat.

I stopped posting for about 6 months because I couldn't log on. Emails to admin went unanswered and in the end I just gave up. Probably happened to quite a few folk.

I'm not sure why I decided to join again recently under a new(ish) name. Alcohol probably had something to do with it.

I go on the COYB Facebook page more often now. Because people are themselves the discussion doesn't get too out of hand and people are a bit more balanced in their views.

Why would you want 'balanced' views?
Sounds a bit sanitised to me just like the universities where students want 'safe' spaces.
Utter bilge!!!!

quite simply more folk are looking at facebook now than , pictures from the games and video clips gives the COYB page the edge.

p.s there's no need to go into a new politics debate over the eu referendum, just get kiddy to copy and paste dixies reasons for staying in a union and dixie to copy and paste kiddies reasons for leaving a union into a forum and it's sorted :joker:

Not exactly, I wanted Scotland treated as an EQUAL MEMBER state within the EU; being able to negotiate it's own terms, from the point at which it became that nation state. At present, we are an under represented subservient region, born of a Union manufactured by a neighbour hell bent on Imperialism.

The COYB Facebook page is reasonably informative and although I do contribute my words of wisdom to it on occasion I generally find it a wee bit too "nice".
Just not enough edge to the debates.
