New Gig Venue Falkirk

Post by 2-1 Tae St Joanstin Sir! » Thursday 17th 2015f September 2015 01:30:51 PM

I see the Martell has changed hands and will now be known as The Warehouse and wil be putting on live music amongst other things.
Martell done alot of live stuff a few years back which fizzeld out.
Good to see someone making an effort on this front as the Falkirk music scene/gig venues aren't exactly thriving.
Lined up so far are Cast,Judge Jules,Midge Ure,exSLF and The Complete Stone Roses.
An effort that deserves support imo.Good luck to new owners.
I went to see the Bootleg Beatles..as the Bootleg Mark Chapman.

A good view of Alan Milliken's unusually large left ear in the photo of the handover..

This is great news. Audio is a good venue and if this one is half as good then it will be a great asset for the area.

Where will all the married folk go now to get their hole on Friday night?

For years, Fawkirk used to be a brilliant place to see live bands.
Its been a few years since i've been to see any pub gigs in the area. So a new music venue is alwas a good thing even though i don't fancy going to see any of the bands mentioned so far.

Seen Cast at this venue on Thursday 15th..pretty much same old Martell but now with a raised stage which is a good thing.
good gig as well..decent crowd around 150..only gripe is they didnt do an encore.

Owners should be happy with first gig and the turn out..nice to see effort in bringing half decent acts to Falkirk..also add there was little intrusion/interference by bouncers which you get at some gigs.

Hope local music fans support this venture.
