She's probably got 1000's of miniatures ready to dish out to the voters.
These so-called socialists never 'get' it.

She has likely scuppered the chances of carpet bagger George Galloway so good luck to her.

3 years for the big man. That's steep when you consider the paltry sentences given for more serious offences.

Not long enough,IMO.
Aitken and Archer, I think, got longer.
He''ll be out in 18 months, I suppose.
What a soft sentence!!!

Archer was found guilty of perjury and perverting the course of justice. Thats probably why he was sentenced to 4 years.

The whole thing gets too much press for my liking. I couldn't care less about him or the whole saga.

Sorry, it needs to get all the press possible to show people just how hypocritical so-called 'socialists' can be.
Did you see the women standing behind Gail when she was doing her 'stand by your man' speech.
God, if they're socialists give me some Public School 'totty' anytime. They were soooooooooo horrrrrrrrible!!!!

I'd consider going round and giving Gail a wee sympathy poke while Tommy's away, though.

I wouldn't. Tommy's been through her; she'll be riddled.

I wonder if he'll win his appeal by the time he's out? Mind you, do you only get remission if you accept the verdict given to you?

Can't wait for the phone hacking cases to get going with Murdochs mob.

I see that the News of the World have sacked another senior member of staff for illegal phone tapping. I don’t see the right wing demanding that the police act on this, maybe because this illegal practice will go all the way to Tory Central Office.

We have one law for saps like Sheridan and another for the ruling classes and their rich friends in the media.

Once it hits the fan, over the phone hacking, I expect Sheridans appeal to be buried in the minor pages of the Wapping press.

Just on BBC News, former NOTW's Scottish Editor,Bob Bird, detained in connection to the Sheridan case.
Bob Bird is being held on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice over Mr Sheridan's defamation action against the newspaper in 2006.

I thought it was because of the perjury trial? You know, where Comrade Tommy insisted that Rupert Murdoch was personally out to get him.

Hope to see him back in politics soon. It's duller without him, and he winds up the loons.

He's just a 'balloon' who made a mockery of politics. The NOTW may have cut corners in getting him convicted but he's still guilty as hell. All the witnesses couldn't have been wrong!!
IMO, his sentence was too short.
