Was at the tremendous Wire gig at King Tuts on Monday great gig from a band who have pretty much went under the radar for years but produce some excellent stuff..well worth checking out..both old and new stuff top notch.
Off to see Slaves on 10th May again at King Tuts...for all its hype its not one of my favourite venues tbh.

I went to see the Bootleg Beatles..as the Bootleg Mark Chapman.

Very small venue but theyve still managed to get a crush barrier and exclusion zone at the front of the stage, must reduce the capacity by 20%..better at the side with a seat and a Horlicks nowadays.Kiddy wrote:Too auld to get up on stage wi the bands now?2-1 Tae St Joanstin Sir! wrote:Was at the tremendous Wire gig at King Tuts on Monday great gig from a band who have pretty much went under the radar for years but produce some excellent stuff..well worth checking out..both old and new stuff top notch.

Tut's was always one of my favourite venues, just behind the Venue in Edinburgh. You could shimmy along the girder there, before dropping onto the crowd!

PJ Malloys in Scumvermin reminds me a bit of what Tut's was like.

Re: Gigs?
Aw, the Venue, saw some quality gigs there.
Off the top of my head:
Cancer (with guitar god James Murphy)
Malevolent Creation
Bolt Thrower
Pestilence (they staggered off the tour bus and made their way up the q asking for dope haha, That's Dutchmen for ya)
And many more in the glory days of early 90's Death Metal.
To my eternal regret I missed Entombed there on their first British tour.

Re: Gigs?
apparently there’s only 50 odd tickets left for this local music event which is a fantastic effort so far. It should be a really good day with decent music and food on offer for anyone that is interested, all in aid of a good cause as well.

Excellent local band The Nickajack Men are playing a Gig on cup final night to coincide with the launch of their new E.P. Coosa Town.
https://www.facebook.com/events/463979700433176/
Lead singer is a good Falkirk man and prior to the gig will be at the game cheering on the boys.
If your planning a night out in Glasgow to celebrate our cup win
or drown your sorrows
why not pop along and support the boys.
Gig is in Broadcast on Sauchiehall Stret and if anyone would like tickets (£6.00 each) P.M me and I'll get them to you.

Not yet bud.
They are hoping to have a preview of their E.P online next week or at the latest the week after.

Fleetwood Mac in July.
Last saw them around 1975 promoting the Rumours album at the Glasgow Apollo.
Hope they live up to expectations but I have my doubts?

Saw Frankie Valli at the Clyde Auditorium last night. For folk of a certain age, like me, it was a brilliant performance, even more so when I checked his age after the show. He is 81! His vocal range and energy were amazing.

Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Concert Hall in Glasgow last night.
Unbelievably strong show from three guys with a combined age approaching 470!
