Finally got to see a couple of my Folk heroes last night at StirlingTollbooth as Dave Swarbrick and Martin Carthy put on a cracking show.

Catfish and the Bottlemen at the Classic Grand and Jack White at the Hydro next month. Then Royal Blood at the Barrowlands in February. Going to them all with my 14 year old son - never too old for gigs!
We're in the stickiest situation since Sticky the Stick Insect got stuck on a sticky bun.

At The Gates with Triptykon and Morbus Chron on December 6th.

Good to see the ATG boys reformed, and finally get to see the legendary Thomas Gabriel Fischer in the flesh.

Julian Cope played King Tuts last Sat, been wanting to see him for years, didn't even know about it. #gutted.

King Tuts have had some excellent gigs on lately to celebrate their 25th anniversary. They all sold out really quickly though and like you I missed out on the ones I fancied. I miss the days where I new about cool stuff.

North Of The Wall underground all day metal festival in Glasgow tomorrow!

Including two quality Scottish acts, Saor, and Falkirk's own Cnoc An Tursa.

Also tremendous talent in the form of Mael Mordha, Fen and Gama Bomb.

I still haven't forgiven them for their atrocious cover of "Word Up".

Behave yourself............what's not to like about the rocked up version of a classic , millions more agreed as it got them into the top 10 when you really needed to sell millions to get into the top 10 of the chart unlike these days, there's a lot more to those guys than just "word up " ............
