The Mighty Lincoln Red Imps!

Glad the monkey of 'most embarrassing result in Scottish European football history' is now well and truly off our back! Great result for the semi-pro team...

When the "best team in Scotland" is beaten by a team of part timers from Gibralter it is a sad reflection on the state of Scottish Football.

........and despite what Brendan says, it most certainly was an EMBARASSMENT.

While we got slaughtered for the loss to Vaduz, apart from the p poor preparation after Hughes departure and May being given the reigns. We did not play a team of Lichtenstein guys, they were German Austrian Swiss Italian who had a reasonable bit about them and bankrolled as a club in a tax haven. Yes we should have been able to win, at the time, I don't think many other Scottish teams would have won that tie either. The disallowed goal in the first leg cost us the tie

Was just thinking exactly the same, and if I recall correctly they had just dropped down from the top Swiss division, and had quite a few players with Bundesliga experience in their ranks. Disappointing outcome, but far from the worst Scottish results in Europe.
