The Shire, out of the League.

How long can they last now?
No financial regulation, no corporate governance, no enlarged divisions, no summer football, no single ruling body, no new cash, no integrity. Behold the 'bright new dawn' for Scottish football,

Terribly sad.
Used to go and see them on alternate Saturday's when we were away.
Some great players - Eddie mccreaddie, Arthur hamill, Knox,Bobby mcculley to name but a few.
Remember when the Steedmans removed them to Clydebank and all the legal moves that followed.

To think they came out of the second division with us, & were always a tough game. It's amazing how paths can differ to such an extent.

Years ago did they not have that policeman who was prolific scorer for them but had to work shifts at Brockville on duty, so couldn't play. Ure? Diver?

Pretty sure he also played for Dunipace Juniors.

Unfortunately for the Shire they have been on borrowed time since they lost control of Firs Park.

They should have ground shared with us at the Falkirk Stadium instead of moving to Stenhousemuir.

They would have got some additional fans when Falkirk were away from home.
Its not the taking part that counts......its the WINNING.

Hindsights a wonderful thing. They shot themselves in the foot I guess.

Looking on the bright side a kindly cup draw may see us visiting the wonderful Meadowbank Stadium...

And there was no reason why they couldn't have done that when we got the new pitch installed.

I went to the playoff game. Both teams were absolutely dreadful. Neither deserve to be in the league
