Celtic fans - the annual disgrace

Post by JaxinFalkirk » Sunday 08th 2015f November 2015 04:38:29 PM

Just turned on BT sports & yet again some of the away support at Dingwall blatantly refused to dignify Remembrance Sunday fixture with a minute's silence.

Is it now time to punish the Celtic club for this annual disgrace........points deduction for example or banning of away fans from this fixture??

I didn't see it but from what you say , it's a disgrace.
I'm not in favour of dishing out punishments as this is a personal matter and all those idiots are doing is bringing opprobrium on to their more normal fans who, you would imagine, are ashamed of their brethren.
It's a bit like Sheridan and the wilder fringes of nationalism who try to stop Conservatives having meetings!!

It's not a football matter though is it?

As disgusting as it is, docking them points isn't a solution.

Besides, the whole Remembrance Day thing has been long hijacked for political gains.

Oh they did, did they? http://wingsoverscotland.com/that-headline-thing-again/
But why bring the actions of a few idiots, following a club with an Irish Catholic background, who have no idea that their own clubs players have gained VC's whilst making an ultimate sacrifice; then try to turn it into having a go at something that isn't even remotely connected?
No financial regulation, no corporate governance, no enlarged divisions, no summer football, no single ruling body, no new cash, no integrity. Behold the 'bright new dawn' for Scottish football,

i remember their fans doing that at TFS a few years ago. Fair to say Lawwell wasn't best pleased...

Embarrassment

That was back when Celtic wore poppy's on their tops too.

Good work by the BBC for not muting this out, unlike SKY at our match with them in 2009.

What are you talking about? Yesterday's match was broadcast by BT, not BBC and Sky never 'muted' anything either!

BT and not BBC but the point still stands as SKY did mute the crowd during the minutes silence.
