Paton was charged with assault on a former Celtic goalie, banned for spitting and is well known in Paisley for being a ned.

I happened to be down at the stadium around 9.45 yesterday morning and saw Alex Harris go in.
Not sure when the squad left for Wales but maybe this means something is afoot!!

Here's hoping that Alex Harris is replaced with Alex Jakubiak
The PR department might work something into the Return of the Yak!

Dan Turner in on an 'initial' six month loan deal from Port Vale.

Hope that means we have the option to extend, and not that PV can recall him if he's scoring for fun in Jan.

So if he's good he'll be recalled or sold. Crap and doesn't play he leaves. What's the point?

Agreed
Maybe he’s a fill-in until we get Jac or Nelson for the second half.
A strange one.

Not based on anything concrete but fan chatter and rumour on social media.
Seemingly Harris could be on his way out to Accies. Let’s hope so.

Maybe the club are using the Nigerian Prince marketing strategy to sell Harris to Accies, they’ve been caught out in the past.

Do you think Stokes was a pointless signing for the 6 months we had him?

The most cursory of glances at this guy's trackrecord confirms he is no Stokes unfortunately.

My point is a 6 month loan could be beneficial for the club. I think you know I wasn't comparing Stokes and Turner as players.

We had entirely different targets with Stokes signing, that season - we wanted to stay up, we needed points, this season we want to challenge so need to win almost every game.

If you remember when Stokes left we won a couple of games and then had a 8 game losing streak from 14th of January to the 18th of March.

If this guy is amazing and bangs in the goals, it won’t matter a jot if it disrupts the team to any thing like the same degree as Stokes leaving did. Lose more than 5 games all season - we’ll struggle to win the league.

Stokes form also dipped in December that year probably because of the uncertainty at that time.

With the current sqaud if we want to challenge for the title we need Turner to be excellent and if he is excellent he will be recalled. what is the point?

Mackin from Livi

:? Don't think he's the type of signing to get us where we want to be!

We paid for him too
I'll wait and see if the goals flow before making my mind up

went to the alloa game tonight. very underwhelmed by the first half performance however thought we improved second half and felt Mackin showed up better than the other strikers when he came on second half. good assist for the second goal and put himself about

I hope mackin has improved in both ability and general fitness from the guy who played against us for Livi and Brechin. Not one I’m too excited about but hoping he has improved a lot
