New Backroom Team

Post by dixie chicken » Thursday 01st 2018f February 2018 12:16:30 PM

Wow!!
Quite an announcement.
The logic behind the appointments looks good and strengthens the belief that the BOD are going all out for promotion next season.
Don’t know too much about the individuals but no doubt some on here will.
Lots to digest!!

Well, your comment is completely useless as it does not have a link or any names, thanks a lot for that :hammer:

Not taken by Gordon Young after doing a wee bit of reading

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/foo ... ed-9752007
http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/1458 ... nemployed/

“Coaches might reduce the age of a squad, they might increase the value of players, up the attendances at games, create a pathway to the first team from the Academy.

“These are all successful KPIs but we hang on results, if you don’t win on a Saturday in Scotland you are a DUD.
“I feel we should offer more longevity to the plans of positive-minded coaches.
Urgh! Really? I hate that if you must use KPI's then you must know the KPI is the bloody league table.

Don't like the fact he seems a bit of an attention seeker with these stories in the papers and canned his BIG american adventure after less than a year,

is that 8 years we've been in this league now?

I'm all for trying this new approach and glad we are already planning for summer signings

Seems like Hartley has took a while to pick his assistant so hopefully he has got it right.

I can't see what Olaf has posted but I'm guessing it's all negative

Don’t know the new recruitment guy but have had dealings with the 2 Gordon’s. Gordon young hasn’t been keen to get a move back from the states and is popular with players. A wee gallas guy he Is probably a good foil for Hartleys sterner more dour character. Youth football has mainly been his bag which won’t be something we require but he did well as caretaker at Motherwell.

Wyldie is an excellent coach who was one of the best if not the best at forth valley. I assume he will take charge of the u20s until they finish at the end of the season and then I think he will be used to scour reserve games and u18 games in Scotland’s and north of England’s for talent. Not sure is his appointment is full time or part time I would think it may be the latter

Happy with both appointments as both are capable individuals who bring something to the table
