Good luck to him, hopefully he can develop into a good, solid player.

It's disappointing that we haven't always seen the best of our young players when they've come through recently.

Whether it's been management decisions or Swansea stock piling promising players its hindered some of these guys development.

Good luck to Tony. Much maligned recently but could feel he was let down by Houstie. However, every cloud as he joins one of the English games bigger names.

There’s no doubt the lad has a lot to learn, but equally, the experienced eyes at Liverpool will reckon he has enough between his ears to absorb the lessons.
In the current financial climate down south, it’s well worth Liverpool taking a £200k punt on ten Gallaghers. If one of them makes the grade, then that two million punt is for nothing given that it’s near impossible to buy even a squad EPL player for less than 5 million these days.
Two years from now, the boy just might surprise us all.

Andy Robertson released from Celtic at 17/18. Goes onto play at minnows Queens Park. 5 years later he’s one of the best left backs in the EPL playing for Liverpool. It’s certainly not impossible and I hope he comes good. For selfish reasons I wish he was right sided cause Scotland weirdly enough have an abundance of left backs to choose from...

Good luck Tony.

I wish the boy all the best & believe he has the resilience to bounce back from the trough of recent months where as others have commented he has suffered from the deeper malaise of the working environment he was forced to operate in.

The previous manager of our club in his insistence to persevere with Tony when he was clearly struggling with both form & confidence could have caused irreparable damage but hey he had now got an incredible opportunity to price the doubters were wrong & I am confident that playing in the under 20s at LFC will allow him to regroup personally & professionally

He may well come good elsewhere but I just don’t think it was going to happen at Falkirk so it’s a good bit of business for the club.

As for Andy Robertson he hit the ground running at every club he’s been starting at Queens and then Dundee United. Unfortunately Tony didn’t quite do that and in our position we can’t afford to wait while there’s a decent offer on the table. I still didn’t see any glimpse of what was so good about him but good luck to him all the same.

No mention of a fee. Anyone know if there was one?

Was thinking this too. Maybe Hartley wanted rid of him and rather than paying him off he’s let him go on a free? I’m not too bummed about this one. Can’t see where he would get a game now.

Unlike most of the other departures I don’t think we had to pay anything here. Saints paying him a similar wage. Only disappointment is did we not pay £30k for him under Houston?
