Longridge makes his move permanent. Could have a rant but like the board, manager and first team squad I can’t be bothered.

Now we really have to worry, Hartley said at the AGM he knows the Scottish Market and doubted the availability of players who could help us out of the mess we are in - it was music to my ears

Just like Houston if he cannot find a better player then we might as well chuck it, Like Harris, Longridge is a well known character, everyone knows he at best is a 1 good game in 5 player, we don’t need that right now - his standard performance is a 5 out of 10, you get the odd 8 or 9 out of 10 to give hope, but he’s very average player.

It may be difficult to attract players to us just now. Facing a play off to avoid relegation, in the press for all the wrong reasons and I can't exactly see us paying big bucks. I'm confident there will be a couple more faces this window but maybe some are biding their time to see if a better offer comes along.

Hes not a bad wee player but we're in desperate need of some nasty ass growlers who will intimidate the opposition. Far too many players in the team that are just too nice.

Not convinced by Longridge yet - not the goalscorer we so desparately need - but at least we are moving out the right players. Luca just never looked good enough. I dont think anyone will ever understand why Houston gave Henderson a 2 year deal in the summer - bizzarre considering he didnt seem to rate him - a League 2 player at best. Shepherd is in the same boat - couldnt believe he got 2 years after 1 or 2 half decent cameos in 3 years - never good enough. Not seen a lot of Blues - hopefully some game time will make him stronger. If we can now somehow ship out Miller, Kerr, Craigen and Harris for a couple of decent replacements(a goalie and a physical midfielder especially), our squad will be in a stronger place.

Average players don't turn in two man of the match performances in two successive home games. Scoring three in the process and ripping the piss out of the opposition.

Hey! I’d love my quote to be point and laugh material for months and years ahead.
...but the facts are he came on loan from Hamilton and their fans said he was a 1 good game in 5 type player. now maybe Hartley can get more out of him and our club suits him. If that’s the case then great.

To be fair, I wasn't over the moon when he signed but long may we all be continued to be proven wrong. Was always going to give him time though and I suppose we also shouldn't forget that the Championship is a different level to the Premiership so take with a pinch of salt what Hamilton fans may say.

Also although it is far too early to make any conclusions this does help support the decision to get rid of the academy when you consider Gallacher was supposed to be the cream of the current crop and we find a guy from another academy who in 1 game has shown more than Tony has in 17 matches. Add to that players like Lewis Morgan who St.Mirren picked up from Rangers and has made them more money than we have in the past 4/5 years from academy sales without the cost of running a full academy.

We still need a right wing back if Tumilty goes and another striker. Wouldn't mind a "Will Vaulks" type too.

I’d imagine Oweny will allow us to continue Tumilty’s ‘development’ down here. The team’s only beginning to gel so would be wrong to lose any of the starting 11 now.

Absolute nonsense Hartley! Signing Ryan Blair yet another nice, tidy player.

Need steel and power!

Ryan Blair signed on loan for 6 months from Swansea. Will be interesting to see how much he has developed since being down South. Looks like he done really well for the Swansea u23's so could do well for us.

How often have you seen him in the past 2 seasons?

Olaf whilst many of the points you make have validity feel you are at best premature here..........a box to box midfielder over 6 foot..........I would say he fits some of the stereotype you have been suggesting........bear in mind he was a boy when he went to the Swans he will have bulked up and matured at the very least in past two seasons

Let's give the boy a go ...........and also congratulate the Manager for at least tapping into this previously not used linkage

I never saw him previously as a box to box player. He has a great left foot and can ping passes but I'm not sure he's much different to Welsh whose just signed.

Might be bigger and stronger since he left, but I seriously doubt they have remodeled his entire game.

It’s a fair reservation to have but let’s give the lad a chance. Kingsley was deemed as far too lightweight when he burst on the scene but certainly improved in that area as he got older. Hopefully Blair has done the same.
