Just look what happened to Mourihno at Chelsea when they players downed tools for him.
True, but in that scenario, Chelsea showed themselves to be the b@stards they are and sacked the gaffer rather than turf out the c*nts in the squad causing the issues. In these scenarios, I'll always back the manager over players.

I don't know the truth behind what is going on with our players but it's something significant and it's something that's likely been festering long before the Summer months came. Hartley needs to quickly identify which of the squad is behind him and to work with that core set of players. Cut the rest. If that means the majority of yesterday's starting eleven don't play again for us this season then so be it.
Spot on

Sick and tired of this shower.

As others have alluded to there is something seriously wrong at the club.

I have seen many a rubbish team turn out for us but frankly I don’t remember a meltdown of this proportion in such a short period ever.

Clearout in January or the seaside leagues beckon. There is even a bit of me starting to think maybe that needs to happen to get real, significant and long term change at the club.

Things were summed perfectly yesterday. At 1-0 down the ball goes out near the corner for a goal kick to us, there was no ball boy nearby, McGhee was two yards from the ball, and simply leaves it and trots upfield, Thompson then goes on a 50 yard round trip to retrieve the ball and get on with the game. There is no urgency from anyone, even when losing. Nothing this team does is at any pace and the lack of ability to tackle is terrible. I think we have totally lost the plot on and off the field. I'm not sure why a club our size needs a Director of Commercial Operations and a Chief Executive ? Also there is no need for us having 37 signed players.

What has surprised me is how Alex Smith managed to get a reaction out of the players albeit for two games and yet Hartley has been unable too.

What was done differently and what's PH missing: It surely cannot have simply been Smiths experience and I'd hope Jimmy Nichol would be of a similar mould so what has gone wrong with the new appointments :(

Baffled :?

Hartleys probably running them ragged in training and being hard on them. The poor wee flowers we have in our team probably dont like that kind of thing and want to get back to the cushy life they had under Houston.

I'm not sure I see your logic. The 'cushy' life got Houston the sack ultimately and there can be no joy for the players in losing every week

It's a cliche but players don't become bad overnight! I suppose I had hoped that PH would have given some of them the confidence and freedom to play but it looks like a continuation of former PH's tactics.

I hope they hate him, that means he’s doing his job.

Paul Hartley and Jimmy Nicholl have had better careers than any of these bunch of losers will ever have, if they won’t listen to them, who will they listen to? Just covering up their own ineptitude.

They more importantly have a managerial track record.

nah! These players are wasters, mental midgets, losers and scumbags
Your best ever post here. Totally agree.

That's one way to describe administration and possibly a need for a Sevco-esque resurrection...

If you listen to P.H post match interviews then he would not motivate me. He does not look like a manager he looks scruffy and appears like someone who has come in from the street and lifted some kit out the bin. What message does that give the players. He wants the players on match days with suits and ties on and smart. He arrives poking as if he has been on a bench all night. Haircut needed, Baird trimmed, and the collar and tie worn.
