Kevin O`Hara given 8 match ban by the SFA for "excessive misconduct".

........must have been really excessive.
Its not the taking part that counts......its the WINNING.

Pathetic! Stick and stones may break your bones and all that.

Sheils got sent off for nearly breaking someones leg and O'hara gets an 8 game ban for calling him a name! Ridiculous!

Presumably McKee will get something similar when his case is heard next week.

Need to hear what he’s said first. If slagging off his eye then can understand it but if just general abuse then players will be getting banned every week.

Doesn’t excuse him but it’s a fair point.

Sheils is a grown man, grassing on a young boy at the start of his career is pathetic.

Again, being young is no excuse. O’Hara should be concentrating on scoring goals and playing well for the club instead of trying to wind up the opposition.

Just out of interest but would Kenny Shiels have been his coach the Forth academy?

Pretty ridiculous of the SFA in my opinion but nowhere near as shameful as the Falkirk fans on Facebook stating he deserved his ban and that the club should fine him. One tit suggested it would be ok to sack him over this. I knew our fan base is amongst the most pathetic in the land but sinking to new lows as far as I'm concerned.
If you're committed enough, you can make any story work. I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.

What's pathetic about that? Try mocking a disabled person at your work and see what happens.

Come back when your sanctimonious, holier-than-thou club have dealt with the vermin and filth who have spent decades showering racist abuse on any Falkirk player who had or has the temerity to be black. Until then, GTF

Yeah, because professional sport is like a real work environment.
Players regularly swear in front of customers, co-workers, children and governance officers (referees)
Players on a regular basis deliberately foul opponents, it’s even got a name; a profossional foul.

Try booting a rival company employee up in the air, calling the Auditor a blind bugger and then screaming at your co-workers calling them useless cnuts after making a mistake. All standard practice on a football pitch, all would be pretty much instant dismissal outside professional sport.

So....in your warped mind, it’s OK for Shiels to deliberately try and snap a players leg.....perhaps to an extent that he could not play again......but it’s not OK for Kevin to have a verbal pop at him for that carrying out that action?
Come the revolution......George will be first against the wall :D

The fifer has a point. Two wrongs don’t make a right and just cause O’hara is a footballer doesn’t make it ok for him to discriminate against disability. 8 games is steep but that needs to be stamped out.

cheers FalkirkBairn90

Gruezi I don't think I said it was OK for Shiels to do that.......he was seriously provoked though but no excuse. O'Hara and McKee (if he is guilty of the same) have absolutely no excuse.

If O’Hara has abused Shiels about his disability then I really don’t get any defence of him.

That’s not to try and say Shiels was in the right but if a black player made a terrible challenge then it would similarly not be acceptable to make a racist comment.

There’ll be many Falkirk fans with disabilities that come to attend our matches so can’t see how the club can do anything but condemn his actions, if he has abused Shiels for missing an eye.
