I can only assume that Henderson must bring something, the major shareholders are wealthy businessmen who usually have a healthy dislike for meddling politicians. Why they want to keep this guy is a mystery? Maybe he stops the Labour Party in Falkirk screwing us?

Best news of the nigh was Hartley is on the road, hunting players, this has been my mantra since lazy bones Houston took over. Scottish players are crap, the good ones are all in the top 4 clubs, the rest are pish and you'd get better down south and abroad - Chapeau Hartley, get the Scottish dross out the club!
Why did you not ask what he brings? I was refused the opportunity to ask him to tell us all why we should vote for him.

Maybe would have been less contentious if debate had not been stopped.

I’m not a shareholder but it’s the lack of transparency that irks and would put me off becoming one.

Nothing on the official site or social media about proceedings and print edition of FH light on detail.

The club are canvassing for fan ownership one week and then riding rough-shod over them the next.

Was there any ‘manifesto’ for want of a better word for Henderson’s re-election for those that receive the literature?

Chairman seemed to be getting lead by martin ritchie when it came to all this. She shouldve said feck it ok doug why should you be appointed and then allowed for reasons why he shouldnt. They have got the brassest of brass necks and werent embarrassed at the least by their actions.

Two things at least 2 from the MSG did not vote. Also at the end when Henderson was getting shouted at he had a smug smile and shouted out I have had a lot worse that this before. Really summed up the man no credibility and no shame.

Oh come on! I don't know what he brings , but I know what the answer would have been.
"Doug brings a wealth of experience with his political knowledge , management skills and business acumen...........been on numerous boards and committees over the last...............Lifelong Falkirk fan and shareholder......... "

Pointless having a debate, the damage was done with the vote.

Actually that is the damaging thing about Monday night.

Any fan engagement was killed buy the contempt 5 individuals had for the supporters and shareholders in one action.

Heard a word that Doug Henderson is to resign at the next board meeting. Possible word from sponsors forcing the issue. Could be wrong but :D

Heard he was told to resign last Thursday but wanted "to control the message" getting out. F*ck that!
If you're committed enough, you can make any story work. I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.

Whats the latest on this ???

I think an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) should be convened with a resolution to remove him from the BoD. If we have the same level of support for his removal and he still survives that, then the MSG who are propping him up should hang their heads in shame !!!
Come the revolution......George will be first against the wall :D

Nothing further in the FH other than this defiant article from last week.

I notice we're in the papers today along with Motherwell and Morton for failing to pay someone the minimum wage. Not exactly been a good few weeks for the club recently.

It was a payment due to one person. Don’t think it had anything to do with minimum wage but not back dating a weeks wage or something. In either case it was sorted so don’t feel the need to criticise the club in this case. Sure these issues arise in any business from time to time. The context of the headline makes it seem as though we actively avoid paying minimum wage which seems wrong.

You've just had it explained to you it was a slip of wages due to one employee, that is nobody's business but the club's and the employee's. How do you link that to PR/communication failures?

That's not our PR failures (or communication).

That's a "newspaper" sensationalising a miniscule, long corrected error.

though I do accept that it was very minor, a Falkirk spokesman explained it, and it couldn't be hidden. Just a shame it got into the press

yes agree but as I say - the outcome still reflects badly on the club's image - most people would only have read the headlines
