Almost certain Gallagher's getting a run in the hope that he can be sold by the end of the season. That, again, was guff from start to finish. I wonder what our percentage of 'achieved passes' were during that game - it's got to be under 30%. Nobody to hold the ball, nobody to run with the ball. 45 minutes against a team that ships goals for fun and we don't test the keeper once - says it all.

The end of the season ? We should be so lucky, they will be desperately trying to drum up business in this transfer window and will gratefully take whatever pittance they are offered, Swansea again perhaps. Sickening stuff, the support are the only ones pulling their weight these days, yet treated like utter mugs.

Gallacher the bright spot of the game. Soon to be sold very soon no doubt. We need decent signings in January, a must.
SAFE TERRACING FOR TFS EAST STAND.
Jobby or Oweny for next Bairns manager. Though Hartley is currently fans frontrunner.

Is there any chance of us getting shot of one of the 'strikers' and bringing in loy?

Just heard PH say on FTV that he has been told that no one comes in till somebody goes out.

Worth noting we're a point closer to the relegation play-offs than we are to the top of the league. We've not been blessed with the greatest of football over the past few years but this is currently utter dross. I've lost count in the last three games alone where an attacking dead ball situation for us has led to a scoring opportunity for the opposition. Do they discuss ANYTHING about how to work corners for instance? Same old, same old. The oppostion are actually dangerous from our dead balls.

Our travelling numbers today is probably greater than the average home support for several premier teams. We have to sell every season to break even - why? For years we've sold. sold, sold for big money and for what end result? Who have Raith sold for big money in the past five years? Morton? Ayr? St Mirren? How can all these teams function without selling yet, even with our advantagous fiscal dominance year-on-year, we make no progress?

Because FFC are hamstrung by a complete clusterfcuk of a stadium deal.

Up to Houston to get some deals done or its time for him to make way for someone who can. Gasparotto only played due to McCrackens injury. Kidd and Rankin are only good enough for the bench and craigen was sitting in front of us. Could our summer signings have been much more of a disaster. We should be hawking Rankin and craigen to all and sundry to try and get them out of the club asap.

Cam someone please explain:
Mark Kerr and his "drilled" free kick from where ever he takes one on the pitch?
It's ineffective, aimless and over all, a pointless play. I just dont know why he has been given the responsibility to take the free kicks.
I know it's just Noam, but holy fcuk, we will NEVER score from this.
Here comes the doom.

Got to agree that this was pretty woeful stuff. However a few positives (and some negatives too) from today.

Positives
Gasparotto and Grant make a better central defence than one that contains McCracken.
Gallacher is a quality left back.
Taiwo is a better central midfielder than either Sibbs or Kerr, in the respect that he can actually tackle.
Hippolyte, whilst a bit lazy can be a game changer given the proper service.
Shepherd is better than any other option we have tried this season wide right (he is a striker, but was much better/stronger today playing wide right).
The defence showed great resilience putting their bodies on the line quite a few times today.

Negatives
Rogers kicking/distribution is woeful - its actually getting worse, so begs the question what the fcuk does he do in training other than shot stopping?
Muirhead is not a full back and should certainly not play against Hibs. Distribution/passing and decision making all terrible.
Kerr and Sibbald cannot tackle and are too easily brushed off the ball.
Baird is not the guy to use when playing "one up".
Why was the manager so afraid of Dunfermline that he played with 5 in midfield? They leak goals, and any team that applies any pressure against them sees them wilt - why didn't we do that?
Why was Hippo taken off whilst Baird stayed on?

We might actually have sneaked a win here as I am not sure how much of a "penalty" it actually was. They were as shoot as we were in attack, wasting a few decent half chances. How many shots did their keeper have to save?

The only thing this match confirmed is that collectively we are nowhere near good enough with the current playing staff (and manager). Time for a clear out and start again. Its obvious we won't go up this season, so lets blood the kids in the first team now and give them some experience. Blues and Henderson for midfield, Finlayson for right back. Young Jonny Mitchell in the squad at the very least, and once Austin is fit get him back in the first team.

Come summer it should be goodbye to
Muirhead
McCracken
Rankin
Craigen
Kerr
Baird
McHugh

plus Sibbs will be leaving so time for a new face or two or three, along with a new manager who can make some decent signings.
A.P.K.A. - alba bairn. I don't know why they "suspended" my previous account? Ask them.....

Apparently there are 20 players out of contract in the summer.

Time for a clear out.

And that's exactly right. I understand what houston tried to do this season giving us a larger squad with strength in depth however our first eleven is much weaker.

Our squad isn't balanced we have three experienced central midfielders in kerr rankin and Taiwo. Rankin was surplus to requirements as the other two are very able in filling that role and rotating when necessary.

Why did we sign craigen and Kidd? Two of the slowest players I've seen and don't get a game. Just journeymen I'd prefer youth as subs and get better quality and less.

We now have four or five central defender's in grant mccracken watson Muirhead and Gasparotto. I like all of them but surely one if these wages could go too?

Up front only Lee miller has performed at the required expectations. I love bairds industry but facts are he isn't creating or scoring enough. Mchugh hasn't been given as much game time but similar.

I like hippo and Sibbald as they are creative players and you need these luxury players to change games. I'd pay to watch them too after all its about entertainment and we need more of it.

Leahy and gallacher are both excellent and we are spoilt in this position.

Rogers not been convinced this season so far. Distribution not been great doesn't come for crosses corners or command his six yard box at corners (maybe been told to stay on line?) And physically is quite small. Good shot stopper though.

Houston himself I think is tactically pretty good most of the time but his close season signings have been terrible. If we had gone for wads or even stayed the same as last season we would have won this league as the competition isn't great but we've gone backwards. Gaspo is the exception on the signings but again did we need him?

That was tough to watch - a draw probably a fair result although their penalty award was ridiculous.

No idea why we took Hippo off when he seemed the only one capable of doing anything.

We've gone so far backwards after Alston and Vaulks it's scary!

You are going to have to pay them up and the Board seem reluctant to give Houston any support to do this.

It can only be one of three things.

1. No money
2. No trust in Houston to sort it, therefore you should get shot
3. Content with the situation and believe we will make the play offs with this squad.

Its option 3 which will achieve their target of making the play-offs.

One option could be to offer a couple of players such as rankine to other clubs where we pay half their wages. In doing so we could then afford to bring one in which could be the spark we need especially if Houston doesn't pick the player!

Something along those lines could be a possibility.
Agreed.
