I certainly didn't as I wasn't prepared to wait and see what falkirks official travel agent could come up with, but in some of the fans defence George Craig should never have said there'd be a cheap package. This then gave fans an option not to make their own arrangements for various reasons (Wanted to give money to the club/ wanted to travel in one big group/ wanted someone to blame if the trip had problems/ too lazy to sort themselves out etc)

A year ago today we had just won our first ever game in Europe and were looking forward to our 5th consecutive season in the SPL.

What a difference a year makes.
Its not the taking part that counts......its the WINNING.

We are still unbeaten at home in Europe and conceded zero goals.

Our away record in Europe is poor though.

We've only ever been beaten once in a European away leg, and that was in extra time.

We actually lost the match in the 90, it was the tie that we lost in Extra Time.
Robert Olejnik aside there was not a player in a Bairns "Euro" shirt that night that left the pitch with any credit whatsoever, a thouroughly disgusting performance!

Nevermind the players, the fans who bought the "alkohol-frei bier" in the stadium and didn't realise what that meant were the real disappointment in Vaduz

I think the planning stage was superb. I've never seen so many Bairns organising things in my life with so many travel arrangements. One of the highlights of my life, just a pity the team never turned up (as they did for most of the season). We cut into our summer holidays, flying in from Spain for the game and driving up through Europe on the way home. Oh those salad days.

Yes, it was a wonderful trip.
My son and I went with the official party. The organisation was top-class and the stay in Zurich was superb.
As everyone else has said, the only disappointment was............

Same here.

We had a great time.

If only Carl had put away the only chance we created in the entire 90 minutes..........

The organistion for the trip was a disgrace, they kept us hanging on and hanging on before announcing no standard packages.

Then when the trip was announced it was a splash and dash.

I had 1 night is a Radisson blu hotel in Zurich, 2 nights in the Nicest Hotel in Vaduz and other night in Zurich, flying BA all the way for around the same price as the O-fish-ell trip, and it could have been £120 cheaper if Mr Craig had held his manky hands up sooner!!!

Crying shame we got beat, but we'd have been murdered by that Czech team had we got through.
I'm a bad man who doesn't waste time wondering what could've been when I am what could've been and what could not have been. I live on both sides of the fence. My grass is always green.

To be fair, by the time the game kicked off, most folk couldn't tell the differnce between a pint of sunny d and a pint of beer. Just thinking about the trip brings a tear to the eye.

Brillant trip, although we couldn't get a hotel in vaduz so we decided to camp and by the time we got back to the tent if had a hugh puddle in the middle of it, guess thats happens when you buy a cheap one from Asda.

The Wednesday late afternoon / evening spent at Nelsons bar in zurich was brillant, all sat outside singing with all the locals just finishing work walking past staring at us. COYB
