No objections to smoking in the stadium. But surely the point of standing areas is that people have the choice to either be seated or stand? Not about turning back the clock, just creating choice and, God forbid, more atmosphere.

Not a hope in hell of smoking being allowed in the stadium - quite rightly too.

Whats the chances of updating the posters things on the inside of the stadium? Would be nice to get some of the current players up. Like Sibbald running to the fans at Hampden vs Hibs or Will Vaulks' flip vs Rangers or Hibs. One of Bairdy's jumps Just to freshen it up for the new season.

Do you mean the Legends prints in the South Stand?
Serious pennies involved in those things, cant expect them to be changed and anyway still think that there are genuine club legends like George Gibson, John Markie etc who should be honoured before a good few of those on display [I know the featured players were chosen by fan poll].

In todays game players dont really hang about long enough to become legends and there are few characters/cult heroes in the game if any. Perhaps when the mythical East stand is built something could maybe be looked at. For 130k we should be getting new prints thrown in surely?

The players were chosen by the guys who raised the cash.

They actually look as good as they did when they went up. If the ground staff took a hose to them occasionally then it would clear the toxic bird rubbish off them keeping them good.

As you said serious cash these cost - over 14k

Always going to be differing views about who should feature on a project like this but a great idea which was well managed by yourself and the prints that you produced were super quality.

How much would it cost to take full control of the stadium? Anyone know roughly?

Kent Brockman would be the man to answer this, but my memory tells me the council were looking for £6m - There were attempts to meet to try and get the price down but these were declined.

That seems like a ridiculous sum. Did it not cost as much to build the 2 stands of which we put in a large chunk of money? Plus I thought they only loaned about £3m?

It's Falkirk Council.

Well known as perennial thorns in FFC flesh.

Why couldn't Sandy Alexander have given us the loan instead! Must have been better options than letting them rule the roost. We may be Falkirk's biggest club but guaranteed there'll be many in Falkirk Council happy to see us fail.

We're hamstrung by this stadium deal but as long as the Labour/Tory Council and Doug Henderson are in charge nothing will change.

It was a ridiculous sum deliberately set to stop any conversations taking place, as soon as they went there it was stopped in its tracks.

Any progress, on the Stadium front, is solely reliant on a change of Council administration come the Council election in May.
Only then might we have support in operation/development of the site.
No financial regulation, no corporate governance, no enlarged divisions, no summer football, no single ruling body, no new cash, no integrity. Behold the 'bright new dawn' for Scottish football,

We could have been doing with a 9k stadium with four sides, not three.

We've basically made an arse of it.

The stands behind the goals are far too big now.

I partially agree but I'd hate a stadium like St.Mirren.

Could/should have had similar to Airdrie/Livingston, which would have been adequate.
Spunked the cash on the Main Stand.
