Dunno why, Hughes hardly played him. Would have thought he wouldn't want to follow Hughes to sit on the bench.

He'll be a straight replacement for Rob Jones who's apparently heading down south. There's not a lot that we can do about it as he's out of contract and will get more money at Hibs.

I thought that too, would seem strange that Hughes never seemed to want to play him but will make him a priority signing.
Before even properly taking stock of his new team? Maybe it's all part of his masterplan, realises Aafjes is the next Beckenbauer so plays him in totally wrong positions or very rarely so he can pinch him for his beloved Hibs.

If he comes back for our young players from the Academy (he pushed for it but he didn't produce these guys) then hopefully he is told to fuk off in no uncertain terms.

I'm not bothered by this. This sort of thing goes on in football season after season, manager moves on a raids the former club for players. Im sure if we brought in Jeffries then he'd try and bring some guys from Killie. Not that i'm saying this is what i want but just thats what happens.

Good luck to Hughes but don't think he'll cut the mustard through there, he hasn't operated at top 6 level before & Hibs fans and board demand success
Pump it up!

But surely the weather is just as shecht in Edinburgh & he'd only be bored there too.

I'd be surprised considering how little game time he got under Yogi wi us.

By the way, are Hibs that hard up for a left back?

I genuinely think that despite signing the guy in the first place Hughes only realised just how good Aafjes was right at the end of the season.

Dont agree. Hughes gave him a few chances before Aafjes stepped up at the end of the season and each time Aafjes f*cked it up and was utter mince. He was tried in several positions and was pathetic. Dropping him was one of Hughes's better man management decisions - it was the kick up the @rse Aafjes needed to knuckle down and concentrate for longer than 2 seconds.

Whether or not Gerry or any of our players are signing for Hibs, they will not get announced until they officially unveil their new manager. This is happening today so any palyers signings will follow after that

Well I'll miss him if he goes. I did rate the guy, not that we got to see that much of him right enough.

Explain you cock

Up until 6 or 7 games to go in the season Aafjes entire Falkirk career had been one glorious mess. To suggest otherwise is retarded.

I disagree. When played at centre half the big man was always pretty solid and could do a job at right back. He was only ever a bomb scare at left back and that was entirely hughes fault!
