Post by Kirkie Lawson » Wednesday 03rd 2009f June 2009 10:02:36 PM

Apparently Yogi had a meeting with Rod Petrie today and according to Hibee Bounce web site there will be an announcement by the end of the week.

The source for the meeting with Hughes and Petrie is LM.

Ah right. Oh well maybe it is going to be Yogi after all. At least it might make some users on here happy for a change.

Time will tell.

He's been told to go? Was this before or after he sat down with them and discussed next seasons budget?

Latest on Teletext is, Hibs are looking at Michael O'Neil, of Shamrock Rovers. Crunchie to assist, he is a former Hibbee mind?
No financial regulation, no corporate governance, no enlarged divisions, no summer football, no single ruling body, no new cash, no integrity. Behold the 'bright new dawn' for Scottish football,

With the ongoing financial situation and potential Setanta problems Hibs are unlikely to want to shell out compensation for a new management team if they can avoid it. They'll probably look at the cheaper alternatives first, particularly given Petrie and Yogi's affection for each other.

Petrie has ignored Yogi at least twice so far and it'll take a lot for him to change his position.

The board make a collective decision. It will probably easier to get hughes now after this seasons events than it would have been a yr and a half ago.

However, there plenty suggestion that it will be Jim Gannon as the board seek another Mowbray type with no past, so that all the fans can unite behind a fresh start, and particularly buy tickets.

From BBC Sport :

Ex-Stockport County boss Jim Gannon has emerged as a contender for the vacant Hibernian job after a bookmaker stopped taking bets on him landing the post. Bookies Victor Chandler said that there was a sudden interest in Gannon when Mixu Paatelainen left last week.
Company spokesman Dave Jenkins said: "They backed Gannon at 14/1 initially then at 6/1 then at 7/2.

"They wanted him at any price. We were odds-on before we decided to suspend. It was a significant gamble."
