Re: Rangers u21s Challenge cup

Ricey sums it up pretty nicely really. First half, despite the scoreline was fairly even and the "colts" surely should have had a penalty when Mutch brought down their big no.9 (who was outstanding in the first half). We went ahead when Lewis got onto the end of a ball and thundered a drive the keep...

Re: Vs ICT

Think some of you are getting toe mixed up with Irving as toe was bruta l. The ball just kept bouncing off him and he contributed nothing. Hartleys interview is odd, we barely played two decent passes all game. The football was awful. One up front just doesn't work us. Id honestly get rid of mackin...

Re: Vs ICT

No surprises, and a more easy 3 points ICT will not get this season. ICT were at best average, and really there was not too much to choose between two awful footballing teams. Get the ball, punt high and hard, then feed off the scraps seems to the mantra everyone has adopted in this division. ICT we...

Re: Vs ICT

I find it fairly astounding that possibly our worst player of last season not only remains at the club, but will start and likely still captain the side. Not only is he a terrible weak link in defence, and offers little from set pieces, he is STILL probably the best central defender we have at the m...

Re: Vs Forfar

Shambles again. Only once we scored against the run of play did we actually start playing with any confidence. If Forfar had taken their gilt edged chances, scored with their penalty, or had either of their two strikes against the woodwork gone in during the first half things would have turned out v...

I hope mackin has improved in both ability and general fitness from the guy who played against us for Livi and Brechin. Not one I’m too excited about but hoping he has improved a lot
He hasn't.

Re: vs Montrose

Got to agree with most of the comments. That Muirhead was one of the better performers shows just how bad we are. Absolutely no cohesion, slow and ponderous as always with the ball, then stood and watched when the opposition had the ball. This was Montrose we were playing FFS - not even a half decen...

Re: Falkirk vs Airdire

First impressions, and to be fair spend more time nattering than paying close attention to the players, most of whom were complete unknowns to me. First half was decent, with good movement and a few wee glimmers of us being a half decent side with a bit of work still to be done. second half we were ...

Dan Turner in on an 'initial' six month loan deal from Port Vale. https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2018/06/28/dan-turner-signs-on-six-month-loan-from-port-vale/ Hope that means we have the option to extend, and not that PV can recall him if he's scoring for fun in Jan. PORT VALE ! Those giants of Englis...

Re: We really are a bunch of moaning gits.

True. But look at this from a more jaundiced (experienced?) point of view. We have signed players we know nothing about. Some or all may be great, but going on past history, not all of them will be world beaters, and some might even be of a similar standard to the worse players already on the books....

Re: Hello Dave! It's season ticket time.

We all see a different player in Muirhead. I see a guy who is a firefighter. He will dive in with the last second tackles and blocks. Some see this as a super committed leader. For me, if you wind the clock back a few seconds before his last ditch tackles and blocks, you see a guy who often causes ...

Kidd and Muirhead still with us, as are Loy and Harris. 5th is best unless we start introducing some quality signings. Muirhead alone will lose us 4 games at least a season.

Re: Hello Dave! It's season ticket time.

The signings are at least "new faces" and not the usual dross Houston got from the fire sales in Edinburgh. I would be optimistic were it not for the new deals offered to some of the players already at the club. I have seen comments that Muirhead and Kidd will only be back-ups etc., but don't believ...

Unfortunately the ;ad will have to cover for the bombscare he'll likely be playing with - none other than Capt Craptastic, Muirhead. That will mean he will need to be mobile, tough and not afraid to lay into the useless cnut alongside him, as will undoubtedly be reqd. We need at least one reliable c...

Re: The clear-out

Worrying that Welsh, Kidd and most of all Muirhead have as yet not been culled. If thats the calibre of player Hartley sees as being good enough to get us promoted then we are fcuked. These three along with Loy and Harris need moved along as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the latter two have ano...

Re: season ticket sales 2018/19

He must make clinical cuts and ensure the right players leave. No sentiment can be shown, and how the players performed this season must also determine whether they stay or not. Defensively we have been a shambles. None of the 3 centre backs are good enough and must be replaced. Midfield needs a bal...

Re: falkirk v st mirren 28th April 2018

Disappointing first half, and almost as bad after the break. It didn't look like St Mirren got out of 3rd gear most of the time, and we struggled to compete in the first half. They slackened off a bit after the break and we had a better share of the game. Our inadequacies were covered up to a large ...
