Re: Partick today.

Awful, appalling, muck. These games where we are set up to stifle leave us wide open to losing a goal and then being unable to get back into the game. It almost happened again today but we scored with a real bizarre goal that never looked like it was going to get to the goal line, never mind cross i...

reserves v Sellick

A thoroughly deserved win for the visitors who ran the show pretty much throughout, most notably the first half. Against the run of play and after Sellick had wasted a few chances we got a penalty after about 35 mins or so, when Dunne recovered from losing the ball, won it back of the toes of the de...

Re: Falkirk v Ayr Utd

Not as bad as expected. And really not that much between the teams. A lot of hard work done by many of the players and some decent defending today, let down by a dreadful goalkeeping performance from Mitchell. We set up narrow and tried to be compact and for long spells totally stopped them playing....

Re: First Quarter Report

I remain amazes that MacKinnon took this on. Presumably he had not seen our squad in action and believed that it was down to poor coaching etc. He has landed himself up to the eyeballs in sh1t. Only saving grace for him is that the fans already know he has inherited utter dung on the playing front. ...

Re: SCOTTISH CUP R3: Stenhousemuir v. Falkirk : 24th November

Might get a better price on Stenny if you bet now. By 24th November we could be so far adrift that they will be favourites.

Re: The cull has started

Cannot think of anyone bar Robson (of the Hartley signings) I'd keep from current squad. Good that TOE is away, but the likes of Muirhead, Harrison, Dallison, Paton, and a few others still here means no progress until January at the earliest.

Re: Championship : QotS v Falkirk : 27th October

Look at who we have to man mark Dobbie. Dallison, Harrison, McGhee and Brough - not one of them pacy enough or clever enough, and Muirhead - not good enough. So, its a question of how many he'll score, not IF he'll score. If I were a gambling man I'd have a wee flutter on QoS -2. I reckon 3-0 minimu...

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

With Pete on the need for a new defence. Muirhead, Dallison and Harrison are all woeful. Personally I'd play Mitchell in goal, with a back 4 of Russell-McGhee-Brough-Robson, but think that we will still have the usual keystone kops defence with our Captain leading the way as only he can - badly. Rus...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

Its funny how we see performances differently, although we are all agreed at least that we are totally beyond hope with this current team/squad. I am amazed it was only a two goal drubbing, as it took until around 70 minutes or so before we even got a shot on goal in. Quite how inept we were, and ho...

Re: How to stop the rot?

Stopping the rot with this squad is virtually impossible. However, when we deny ourselves any attacking options from the back (ie Robson), we are allowing teams to get off scot free from any pressure to defend from midfield. Brough and Muirhead as attacking full backs are an utter joke, and yet thes...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

Pretty ominous from the start today. From the kick off we pumped the ball straight out of play, and then from then on we gradually got worse and worse. We were second to every ball, we never closed them down, we waited for the pass too long and the tactic of throwing long balls over the top only wor...

Re: vs Ayr Utd :Post Match

To be honest I don’t care . I realise you are a board apologist which must be an ever increasingly difficult job but to my mind if I was on the board and saw a player like Mitchell coming through I’d be damn sure to make it my business to be all over his contract situation. So no need to know about...

Re: Club Statement

We have maybe 2 players who are good enough for this league - Robson and McKee. Maybe a couple of half decent makeweights that we can use as emergency cover on the playing staff. The problem is at the top - irrespective of its good intentions. These people sanctioned these moves, they approached Har...

Re: vs Ayr Utd :Post Match

Real sense of what we got first half was about as good as this bunch are capable of delivering. Clear evidence in every single game this season that they can kind of keep their act together for 45 minutes or so, but for no more than that. When they start to feck up, that defence (especially Dalliso...

Reserves v Ross Co (cup)

Another pretty abysmal performance from the reserves. Not helped by playing kids who look way way short of even being ready for Junior football never mind the heady heights of this level. Basically, Ross Co. dominated possession and we hit them frequently on the break, and it was fairly even until j...

Re: FALKIRK 0 1 NOMADS

As I mentioned previously I gave up my ST this summer. Last season was clearly unacceptable, and I have lots of other reasons for dumping it, and even while the summer's recruitment was a laugh, it was not enough to get me to fork out. We can all see just what the standard of the recruitment has tu...

Re: FALKIRK 0 1 NOMADS

This will probably be my last game for a long while. I am totally disenchanted with the whole FFC BoD, infrasctructure and players who are frankly stealing a wage. I suppose its not their fault that someone has offered them a job, paying reasonable money and expect nothing in return. If I had perfor...

Re: Ross county v falkirk 1st Sept 18

By all accounts, a more disciplined performance, but still lacking any sign of quality in attack, midfield or defence. Probably Froxy is the one bit of real quality we have in terms of being able to create something out of nothing. Ray McKinnon has very little to work with. I am sure he can get the...

Reserves v Partick

It beggars belief but Makin got a hat-trick today (albeit v 10 men), and we had a few half decent performances too, against a weak Partick side reduced to 10 men just as HT approached. It probably helped that the Partick no.7 (Storar) who was arguably the best player on the park, was sent off which ...
