Re: Hello Dave! It's season ticket time.

The signings are at least "new faces" and not the usual dross Houston got from the fire sales in Edinburgh. I would be optimistic were it not for the new deals offered to some of the players already at the club. I have seen comments that Muirhead and Kidd will only be back-ups etc., but don't believ...

Re: Tom Dallison

Unfortunately the ;ad will have to cover for the bombscare he'll likely be playing with - none other than Capt Craptastic, Muirhead. That will mean he will need to be mobile, tough and not afraid to lay into the useless cnut alongside him, as will undoubtedly be reqd. We need at least one reliable c...

Re: Hello Dave! It's season ticket time.

Whats not to like?
How about Aaron Muirhead, Loy and Harris still at club?

Re: The clear-out

Worrying that Welsh, Kidd and most of all Muirhead have as yet not been culled. If thats the calibre of player Hartley sees as being good enough to get us promoted then we are fcuked. These three along with Loy and Harris need moved along as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the latter two have ano...

Re: season ticket sales 2018/19

He must make clinical cuts and ensure the right players leave. No sentiment can be shown, and how the players performed this season must also determine whether they stay or not. Defensively we have been a shambles. None of the 3 centre backs are good enough and must be replaced. Midfield needs a bal...

Re: falkirk v st mirren 28th April 2018

Disappointing first half, and almost as bad after the break. It didn't look like St Mirren got out of 3rd gear most of the time, and we struggled to compete in the first half. They slackened off a bit after the break and we had a better share of the game. Our inadequacies were covered up to a large ...

Re: Falkirk vs. Dunfermline 07-04-18

That was as bad as it gets for us. A wholesale debacle. How playing 4 centre backs and one wing back was ever going to work just baffles me? Presumably they practised this, but you would not have known from todays performance. The wing backs needed to be involved in midfield and McGhee just doesn't ...

We need another 6 points to be completely safe imo. We will get nothing down there.

Re: falkirk v Brechin 31st march 2018

First half was excellent with an utterly mind boggling performance by Muirhead, who actually looked like a football player at times. Obviously that could only last a maximum of 45 minutes as second half Muirhead, like most of the rest went back to their normal mediocre selves. Only managing one goal...

The clear-out

So, who do we keep outta this bunch that can push us into the top 4 next season? Given the amount of loanee's currently at the club, we are seriously short of quality up front and in midfield, but my real concern is the state of the defence, if not the whole team. Assuming all loanee's return to the...

Re: falkirk v rangers

Big loss expected. I reckon they could easily take 6 or 7 off us, as the midfield and defence are rank rotten, and they have a decent attack. Just a distraction anyway, as we have no chance of going further in cup anyway.

Re: falkirk v Dumbarton 24th Feb 2018

If any one of the four shots that hit the post/bar in the 1st half had gone in, I reckon we would have strolled this. None did, and as the 2nd half wore on it looked ever more likely that Dumbarton would nick all 3 points, and almost did right at the end. A day we never really got going and too many...

Re: Away to Brechin

Utterly dire. We somehow managed to scrape the three points from possibly our worst performance under Hartley. Yes, it was like playing on a coo park, yes it was playing against mass ranks of defenders on a narrow pitch, but we were honking in the main. I had actually started making my way around th...

Dev squad v Ross Co

An awful day for football was well matched by the awful football on display. Even given the freezing gusting wind and rain, this was as abject a display as I have seen from the young guys all season. You would think by this stage that some semblance of teamwork, formation, positional play, basic foo...

Re: v Brechin Tuesday night

Pretty pitiful against a dreadful Brechin side. It was comfortable, but for a while after they got their goal we once again looked very fragile at the back. Longridge settled things with a nice solo effort and got to praise the tenacity of Jakubiak for his goal and link up play, along with Loy's con...

Re: Falkirk v Livi - League Duty

Alba you are being way too dramatic. Yes we were poor today but you’ve openly praised the likes of Nelson in recent weeks and now after 90 minutes you want him gone? Agree with a lot of your ratings but I think you’re wrong about the GK. Other than the 3rd goal he made 2 or 3 really good saves to k...

Re: Falkirk v Livi - League Duty

We pretty much got everything wrong today. The manager started with the wrong formation, or at least with too much respect for Livvi, sitting off, fullbacks too deep and midfield either bypassed completely, or just outfought. we then simply gave them the ball all the time, didn't compete well enough...

Re: Falkirk v Livi - League Duty

If we keep the ball on the ground and play football we will win. Resort to lumping it about like they do and it will be too close to call. They are big strong dirty fcukers in the main, and we will have to be up for it right from the get go. I would love to see us start with 3 forwards in Longridge,...
