Re: Club Statement

Early days yet with McKinnon but there is certainly an improvement. He's no miracle worker and this certainly is not the best group of players he's worked with. The issue is we badly need a win for the players' confidence. The longer that goes on, the more worrying it gets. CEO has to go. As said pr...

Interesting from Robson, first it was McKee having a passive dig at Hartley. Now Robson. He sounds worse than we could possibly imagine

Re: Welcome Ray

Well if you read between the lines it makes perfect sense and it showed when Hartley was in charge. No wonder there was no cohesion in the team, no chances being created or goals being scored. Maybe this team can improve and maybe they aren't all that bad. They just need direction. Rome wasn't built...

Re: FALKIRK 0 1 NOMADS

Well said that man. :clink: Yes the team needs the fans to back them when in crisis but I, like Ranaldo also have other commitments and a young family to take care of and spending my Saturday afternoons with them is far more attractive than going down to TFS and being bored to tears for 90 minutes. ...

Re: FALKIRK 0 1 NOMADS

As reported on the BBC football Scotland cup round-up from yesterday their manager is lording it as some watershed moment because our budget is "5x bigger" apparently. Agreed we probably shouldn't be getting beat by a Welsh outfit but plenty of clubs have wasted squillions on average or rotten play...

Re: Artificial Pitches

"It enhanced our play" Could've fooled me. We're still in this division Gary. He got us closer to promotion than Pressley, Houston or Hartley. If it wasn't for Roberts losing the plot that day away to Alloa we would've probably won the league. Thought he did a good job with us and it was possibly h...

Holt claiming responsibility for the installation of our artificial surface. Can't seem to remember if this was widely known at the time :?: "It enhanced our play" Could've fooled me. Re: Welcome Ray

I saw this lad play against FV Academy last year. He scored a Hatrick although every goal was put on a platter to him by Billy Gilmour. He looks a player but hard to say how he will fair in the championship. I think this 2 week league break can only be good for McKinnon to get to know the players be...

Paul caddis was released by Blackburn. Would he be out of our price range?

Re: Welcome Ray

I'd take anything above 9th at this point, that's how much faith I have in the squad. Be great to see him bin Muirhead and actually play the lads in their natural positions. Maybe Robson could come back into the fold? Play a system to suit the like of Sammut who must be a player being Chelsea U23s c...

Re: Hartley’s gone

Ian McCall at 1/2 with McBookie. Looking more and more likely. I happen to think this team could do just fine in the league with a settled back line and a consistent starting 11 with players playing in positions that is natural to them. Some are completely and utterly hopeless though with Harrison, ...

Re: Hartley’s gone

Yogi isn't coming back, I think people could argue til they are blue in the face about him. He divides opinion. I thought he did well for a long time with us but I also thought he was a stubborn bugger. He got us into Europe but was 22 minutes away from relegating us the previous week . I personall...

Re: Hartley’s gone

I can't see past Robbie Neilson. He'd be my first choice and let's forget about the Hearts connection as that argument is boring. We gave him his first job in coaching and he excelled at Hearts. I think he's the best available.

Hartley OUT

I'm normally one for giving a manager plenty time but after seeing that and the damning stats from today. 27 shots on goal for QOTS to our 3 (none on target) he's got to be sacked. This team will be relegated, no doubt about it. 1 goal in 3 games, no sign of a consistent starting 11. Sorry Paul but ...

Re: Signings on the way

I had a worrying thought earlier, Mackin went out on loan to Brechin from Livingston in January time and that was around the time Miller left Falkirk (give or take a month or two) we essentially let go a striker who is so much better than Mackin, albeit older and bought a guy who couldn't lace Mille...

Re: We really are a bunch of moaning gits.

Agree with what you are saying regarding the pressures and that we have to get it right but I have never once booed my team. If we play badly then I choose not to clap. The team know they haven't performed well, they don't need us booing them to reinforce that. It is only breeding more negativity. E...
