Re: Falkirk v Ayr Utd

There is a big difference to conscripts fighting in WW1 and WW2 to professional soldiers fighting after 1960, it’s a job, no more deserving of respect than doctors, nurses, fireman and police. Spot on. It was only a few years ago that I realised people had started tagging on the post WW2 stuff. Nev...

Re: Falkirk vs Ross County

Clear apathy here when less than 4 hours before kick off there is no thread about tonights game. I considered going but really don’t fancy paying £20 to sit behind the goals and see us get humped by Ross County. I then remembered that I booked tickets to go see Beetlejuice. Much better entertainmen...

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

It only applies to penalties.

And this was one of the simplest red card decisions you'll ever see. Can't believe anyone is arguing against it.

Re: First Quarter Report

Worst EVER! Can't score, Can't defend = Misery No win at home all season, is an absolute disgrace. Not even a solitary goal!! I think we might be better going down, take our medicine and rebuild from league 1 then hopefully gub a few teams and get young fans excited about going again instead using ...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

Ok, this is embarrassing but I will admit what I did on Saturday after the game. Myself an two others went and waited at the Main Stand to tell the players what we thought. We did try to get a few more of us, but to be honest, guys who have been to watch Falkirk for 30yrs + are just not interested,...

Re: New TV deal

The SFL does not exist any more. When the merger happened the % distribution was significantly spread down and across the top 2 divisions compared to SPL days. A team competing at the top end of the Championship is significantly better off than they would previously have been. That's beside the poin...

Re: New TV deal

And so you'll be happy when we return the portion of the (greater than before) prize money we will be entitled to, as 99% of televised matches are from the Premiership?

It's all just dumped into the same pot and that's fair, surely?

Re: FALKIRK 0 1 NOMADS

As I mentioned previously I gave up my ST this summer. Last season was clearly unacceptable, and I have lots of other reasons for dumping it, and even while the summer's recruitment was a laugh, it was not enough to get me to fork out. We can all see just what the standard of the recruitment has tu...

That's what he was talking about on the radio, saying he went over there for a jolly, expecting to say "no" but was so impressed he changed his mind.

Our pitch is clearly miles better than Livi's but he said it was the same. Made by the same people, maybe.

Re: Signings on the way

Exactly. After two seasons in 2nd place all the predictions I saw had us up there again. I have Ross County as favourites, since you all asked. Although RC, ICT, Partick, DUFC, DAFC, ourselves, and possibly even Ayr and Morton or (less likely) QOS will be looking for top four places. It's going to b...

Re: Vs Forfar

Shambles again. Only once we scored against the run of play did we actually start playing with any confidence. If Forfar had taken their gilt edged chances, scored with their penalty, or had either of their two strikes against the woodwork gone in during the first half things would have turned out ...

Hated every single minute of that. Missing out on a hot afternoon in the garden/hills. Sitting in the horrific Main Stand atmosphere. New signings ranging from "could be ok" to "shome mishtake shurely". Programme not even having a squad list. The worst linesman of all time.People talking about the B...

Yep.

Utterly break, destroy and humiliate these representatives of an abominable institution.

The fact it will embarrass proponents of colts/B teams would be just an added bonus.

We'll put out half a team and lose 1-0.

Re: PFA Pitch Ratings Report

Who's been badly injured on our pitch?

Joe McKee when he played for Morton, was an accident. David Mitchell last year. I don't think the pitch can be blamed for either.

Certainly less than I feared when we installed it.
