Louis Longridge

http://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/hartley-makes-first-signing-as-longridge-joins/ Paul Hartley's first signing. An "emergency loan until January 3rd". A name I've heard of a lot as hes's played a lot of games for Hamilton. Scored against HIbs in their 3-1 win earlier in the season. It says on the website t...

Re: Hartley confirmed as the new manager

And Rory Loy's miserable start to the season continues. He'll not be happy that Hartley is the new manager given that he didn't play him and then let him go from Dundee.

Re: Management team have gone

Is this the first time we've sacked a manager since 1996? I know the website stresses it was a "mutual termination" but I think the start of Margaret Lang's statement makes it clear he was sacked. Eddie May was apparently a resignation. Too young to know if Totten was sacked or resigned in 2002.

Re: Vs Dundee Utd

You could see from the line up with Loy up front on his own that Houston wanted to avoid defeat at all costs, and to be fair he pretty much got what he wanted. That we didn't concede is down to poor finishing and decent defending, but we never really looked like we would score at any stage at the o...

Re: Get Houston OUT

I think if Sibbald had been fit and available yesterday the midfield may have been Taiwo, McKee, Sibbald and Hippolyte. I think Kerr has started the last 4 or 5 games because first of all Taiwo was injured for the last 2 or 3 Betfred Cup group stage games, then McKee was injured for the Livingston g...

Re: Get Houston OUT

I think McKee and Taiwo are our best centre midfield pairing. Both have dig and McKee is good at getting forward and getting himself into goal scoring positions. I'm guessing the reason Taiwo and Kerr started together in the centre against Livingston was because McKee had an injury which Houston adm...

Going back as a far as Jefferies, bar a handful. All our best players were signed from Clubs outside Scotland or came through the youth. Guys like Parks, McQueen, Hughes, Mclaughlin, Fulton, Stainrod, Stokes, Vaulks, Cadette even Kevin McAllister's best spell was from he arrived from Chelsea. Who w...

Re: FALKIRK v SCUMFERMLINE

Surprised Austin was on the bench. Houston said in the Falkirk Herald just over a week ago that it would be at least a few weeks until Austin was back because he had suffered another setback with his hamstring. I wouldn't be surprised if Austin was reluctant to chase after people because he's probab...

Re: St.Mirren v Falkirk - Saturday 28th January

Good result today, and seems like a better performance too. Think I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, but during the first half of last season when we only conceded 4 league goals at home before January, the first choice back 4 was Muirhead, Watson, Grant and Leahy. Today is the first time they ha...

Re: Fraser Aird

In Austin and others we've seen how big a jump it can be between those leagues. Hopefully I'm wrong We don't really know if it is too big a jump for Austin because he hasn't played due to injury. Think we need to give Aird time, and he might not even start for a little while because he hasn't playe...

Re: Rovers vBairns

Only 2 posts so I'm assuming we must have had our best result of the season. To be fair, I thought our performance against Hibs was much improved compared to the other games in December and we were really unlucky to lose that. Hopefully confidence will return after that result today. Couldn't make t...

Re: Todays Line up

Just shows that Houston doe not have clue what his best starting line up is, when is the last time we had the same team line up twice in a row Last week was the last time we had the same starting line-up for consecutive matches. The team that started against Hibs was the same team that started agai...

Re: Dunfermline v Falkirk 26th Dec 2016

For those that were criticising Houston's decision to sub Hippolyte, the player himself says in the Falkirk Herald that he had been ill for a few days and wasn't feeling 100% and was running on empty in the second half.

Some of her best known songs. I'm sure even some of the old fogies on here have heard some of them. Just because you haven't heard of her doesn't mean every under 30 year old in the UK hasn't heard of her. I'm guessing she has probably sold more singles than any other female UK solo artist in the la...

Re: Hibs V Falkirk - 12th Nov 2016

There's no doubt that if we had lost yesterday, this thread would have been well into its second page by now. Pity we couldn't hold on for the win but it's a great point under the circumstances. Seen the Taiwo tackle on Falkirk TV and although it doesn't give a clear close up of it, it looked a very...
