Re: Partick today.

Here is something even MORE controversial. I see signs in Sammut that he could really be a decent player in the midfield. Just glimpses of it on Saturday. However, I think to see how he could REALLY perform, it will take him the rest of this season playing in the Championship before it would shine t...

Re: Partick today.

Some of the abuse Haber continues to get is embarrassing... Agree with your post except this. Haber doesn’t do enough for me and wins the odd flick on which I’d expect for his size but where’s the hold up play and ultimately why is it that at set pieces in the box he does an invisible man impressio...

Re: Partick today.

I don't understand all the negativity either. However, when you see who is being negative, it all kind of makes sense. :? 3 players down from a squad which is already woefully low in quality, I think McKinnon's tactics of "lets not lose this and see if we can nick a win" was EXACTLY what was require...

Re: Scumfermline v Falkirk

Great result, and after the first 10 minutes of utter defensive chaos, we were actually ok. McKinnon is right. We need to play a certain way due to lack of quality throughout the team, which although not pretty, is effective. Hats off to him for managing to get a team of losers, in to a team which i...

Scumfermline v Falkirk

Going on last few games and the slight continual improvement I would bite your hand off for a 0:0 draw.
Cant see us scoring, but hopefully we could try and keep a clean sheet if:
A) Keeper does not throw the ball in the net AGAIN
B) The defence concentrates for more than 30 seconds

Re: Falkirk v Ayr Utd

Just shows how different opinions can be. The general consensus is that Kidd played well. For some reason I was keeping tabs on him, as I don't like him at f/b, and I reckon he made under 30% pass completion. I thought he was poor throughout and below par, bordering on dreadful. I like him more in m...

Falkirk v Ayr Utd

Not confident of getting anything out of this.
1:2 prediction, although I don't know who or how I think we will score.

Re: Trialists v Dunfermline Reserves

To be fair, East Fife are at a far higher level playing wise than Falkirk, so he should fare ok with us.........

Re: Championship : QotS v Falkirk : 27th October

Not even remotely confident of getting anything other than a good pumping.
Wish there was more to feel about our team, but they are spineless, low in confidence, and not very good.
Maybe the Prince will be better again this week and offer a presence in midfield.

I guess he's saying you didn't do what you've said despite 2 other posters seeing you do it!
Ignore him.
That's what I thought.
Doubting Thomas right enough.

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

I think I might have seen you in Saturday as I left the bar. Fair play to you got giving them some grief. I just hope Ray is telling another 4 of them to get f*cked this week and that he dished out the mother of all hairdryer treatments on Saturday. We'll be bottom and out of sight of he can't brin...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

Ok, this is embarrassing but I will admit what I did on Saturday after the game. Myself an two others went and waited at the Main Stand to tell the players what we thought. We did try to get a few more of us, but to be honest, guys who have been to watch Falkirk for 30yrs + are just not interested, ...

Re: v's alloa

... Our keeper is a bag of nerves and still worrying whenever the ball is anywhere near the 18 yarder. Pulled off one decent save, but pushed it back IN to play, rather than away. We got away with it, but best not to dwell on his performance. ... My fear is someone like Higginbotham will have a fie...

Re: v's alloa

I said before heading through to the game that I didn't care about the performance. as long as we got the three points, and that's exactly how it turned out. No Falkirk fan would be happy with the level of performance we are currently having to endure, but I don't care right now. Petra again our bes...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

I think we need to accept that the likes of Robson and Greenwood are not showing up in training, or they would be in the team. Same with Dunne. Its not like McKinnon is deliberately playing the players in the starting 11 to p1ss us all off. They are obviously showing up at training to at least merit...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

Any win, ugly or otherwise will do.
Is this the worst ever start to a season for Falkirk? Does anyone know?
I think if we lose this one, 6 games on the bounce cant be far off it.

Re: FALKIRK 0 1 NOMADS

The scrapping of the academy divided opinion. I wanted it kept but can understand why others didnt as it failed to get us promoted since relegation. In theory the Brentford model sounded a good idea but the execution has been a disaster. In fairness to the Bod they tried something different. They a...

Re: Ross county v falkirk 1st Sept 18

The real problem from what I have seen is the back 3. Because they are so slow, they drop off the opposition way to early leaving a huge gap between the back 3/5 and the midfield. This gap is then exploited by any half decent team, especially as we have geriatric Paton treading water trying to back...

Re: QoS 25/8/18

Well, gladly I stayed true to my word and had a skinful before going to watch that. It certainly numbed the pain, and I found myself actually laughing when Dobbie scored his second. I don't know what Hartley thinks he can do to turn this around but it would need to be before this Saturday, as if we...
