Re: Inverness v Falkirk : 01 December 2018

It’s worth watching the Stenny game again just to watch Muirhead’s utter lack of discipline throughout. On every goal conceded, he was posted missing from doing anything worthwhile in central defence. He just seems to take it upon himself to go walkabout wherever he feels like it. His positioning fo...

Re: SCOTTISH CUP R3: Stenhousemuir v. Falkirk : 24th November

Everyone had a stinker except Robson and Petra whose set up for McKee’s goal was fantastic. At the back, if ever evidence was needed that a limited but disciplined defence is infinitely preferable to one featuring Aero adding nothing much other than no personal discipline in terms of position, and u...

Ken Waddell

Something that should not pass unnoticed is the death of Ken Waddell, one time Herald editor (and beyond), and Dad to Bruce and Gordon. An absolutely avid Bairns supporter, up until recently, you would still find Ken along with Bruce and his grandson Daniel in the south stand. Much of what Ken did i...

Re: Scumfermline v Falkirk

As things stand, we will miss the pair of them. Rudden has scored every goal in the two games we have won. Petra is seriously unpredictable, and if nothing else, can give our defence a bit of a breather as he goes about tying himself in knots. Not too much comes from what he does, but he could and s...

By the time he is fit, he could already be on his way out.

Every week, the likelihood of relegation is a wee bit more likely.

Re: SCOTTISH CUP R3: Stenhousemuir v. Falkirk : 24th November

Not just the possibility of being beaten by them. This is an opporchancity for the Warriors to humiliate this team.

Re: First Quarter Report

I really don’t know if we can get out of the damage done. Possibly one of the most disastrous re-builds in Scottish League history. Looks like we intend giving the rest of the league a half season start.

Nine games, and we have managed “nil” in six of them.

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

McKinnon can say nothing else other than he is proud of them (in public). He needs to keep these “players” onside for now, but he is no mug. He knows he is trying to turn a bag of rubbish into a football team. Bad as we are, we are probably only a couple of players away from having a side that would...

Re: Tom Dallison

I was hoping for something like Pitman at the Launderers. A guy with undoubted talent, but who had lost his way a bit, but had reached an age where he had grown up, and was just keen for someone to give him a chance. My old man (who was a fair player 70 years ago) always said to me that there were b...

Re: Tom Dallison

Sadly no. Simply not up to the challenges of Scottish football. No confidence, endlessly waiting for every ball to bounce several times before trying to play it, and has been bullied time and time again by opposition forwards. Certainly one I had great hopes for, but sadly, once the rubber hits the ...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

One thing is for sure. We need to beat Alloa in all four games. Anything less will surely mean automatic relegation. The lad Brough seems to be the only one of the guys from down south who has any desire at all to make a go of it. To me, Dallison looks like he has already had enough. After January (...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

.....but there were claims that him becoming Captain last season was key in the improved performances. There were plenty of “since Muirhead became Captain we have won x amount of games”. I don’t doubt he is passionate about his job and his profession. He is simply no longer good enough. I know we al...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

No point in blaming the players. They aren’t really a bunch of pros having the occasional bad day, or who just can’t be arsed. With two or three exceptions, they are “players” who have been elevated to a standard of football that is well beyond their capabilities. They are all probably well aware of...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

Still a bit numb after what Hartley presented us with this season, so beating Alloa doesn’t see me overly optimistic for Saturday, BUT the Alloa result will certainly have the Fifers doubting what looked like a routine 3 points for them...just like everybody else. Beadling seems to be the one player...

Re: Prince Buaben

A couple of years back, I had the deep joy of being in the Tynecastle directors box when we inflicted their only defeat of the season at Tynecastle 2-3. The winning goal came from us dispossessing Bauben just outside of his own penalty area. All of the Hearts supporters that day were venting their s...

Re: How to stop the rot?

Don’t think there is any rot outwith uninformed decisions at the top. It’s not as if this group of players started well, then things started to go wrong. They have been guff from the get go, and McKinnon is now (hopefully) the man to get a bit of basic discipline into the team, and try everything he...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

Hopefully all the dreaming about coaching and organising our way out of this have finally been put to bed. Every single player brought in since last season with the exception of Petra needs to be cleared out, and they need to take Muirhead with them. Petra, McGhee and Robson are currently the only o...

Re: Club Statement

Thing is, can he improve them enough? He might be able to stop them getting trashed all over the pitch every week. One goal defeats are actually an improvement. Can he organise them to actually not lose every game, and then he can he take them on to start winning games? With the squad as it stands t...

Re: vs Ayr Utd :Post Match

Real sense of what we got first half was about as good as this bunch are capable of delivering. Clear evidence in every single game this season that they can kind of keep their act together for 45 minutes or so, but for no more than that. When they start to feck up, that defence (especially Dallison...

Re: Club Statement

Well this thread makes for an interesting read now. Fair play to Olaf. He got this one spot on.
Interestingly, his main target (CC) is still very much in post. He must be a very proficient upward manager.
