Re: Last day of One F

Not surprised to see this forum die on it's arse. It had become such a source of negativity it was a laughing stock - I'm told Falkirk staff were instructed not to read it far less participate. As a source of information on stadium developments and planning, triallists and the like it was quite good...

Re: BAIRNforLife

As I've said elsewhere I think this is misguided. Even if the manager had a good record in recruiting players (he hasn't), it's a hit and miss process. All it takes is one bad or nondescript player and support for this will evaporate like snow off a dyke. Indeed, the first player is likely to be the...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 11th Feb 2017

Keep the same side as last week I see some saying? Were you at last weeks game? Craigen was utterly useless at everything except taking set pieces. Is that really good enough to make inclusion in the starting 11 a given? Are we that shyte that we can't get anyone better than this at taking a corner...

Re: Rock the stadium

"Elvis Comeback Tour - Opening Concert To Be Held At TFS" OneF: - why are we getting an American in? - nobody listens to his music nowadays. - old-fashioned tripe, the young ones won't pay to see him - he's never actually played in Britain before so there's no guarantee people will turn up - he's no...

Re: Annual General Meeting

Is the South Stand fitted out with spaces for conference rooms, meeting rooms and the like? I honestly don't know but it looks to me like a pretty austere minimalist stand to be honest. The fact is it could have been refitted for use between now and fives years ago when it was built. To me it would...

Re: Annual General Meeting

You have totally missed my point!! I am not saying we are building it to fill it, my point is that we have done nothing, Zilch, Nowt with the South Stand for the last 5 years so where is all this commercial interest coming from to make money out a fourth stand?? There are plenty of conference space...

Re: Annual General Meeting

What are we going to do with a fourth stand honestly?? can't believe some of the comments on here. The South Stand has lay empty since it was built in 2009 its taken us the best part of 5 years to come up with putting a bar in there for match days. When/If we get up we will only fill It against 4/5...

Re: Annual General Meeting

So the alternative is don't do anything and keep the big empty space forever? :? ...until we can either afford it...or it makes financial sense....yes. If it drags the club into another financial problem that we can ill afford, then I will always question the competence of the BoD....and until we g...

Re: Annual General Meeting

Interesting to note and point taken ! .... and as I indicated before, if its self financing and maybe even contributes to the clubs coffers, then I dont have a problem. The issue I do have, is that the Chairman did not give any justification of the need for a fourth stand, or decribe any potential ...

Re: Annual General Meeting

1. The club gets the cash from hospitality at present.....and apart from the "big" games struggle to sell out. I believe they may pay rent to the council for use of the rooms though. Only on matchdays. I was looking to hire rooms last year for a corporate event but the only way the club would benef...

Re: Annual General Meeting

Reasons for a fourth stand 1) Hospitality suites and function rooms at a stadium generate a lot of income. Which is why the Council snapped them up in the first place. 2) Enclosing the pitch will make for a much better experience for the fans, perhaps helping to cut down on the biting wind in there....

To my mind if you don't allow customers to choose their seat, you can't have allocated seating.
