Re: Finishing the Stadium: the Council's role

Whats the chances of updating the posters things on the inside of the stadium? Would be nice to get some of the current players up. Like Sibbald running to the fans at Hampden vs Hibs or Will Vaulks' flip vs Rangers or Hibs. One of Bairdy's jumps Just to freshen it up for the new season. Do you mea...

Re: Fraser Aird

Aird to play right midfield/wing and Muirhead to remain at right back. I'm not thrilled about this signing for a number of reasons but mainly because he's never played higher than league one in his career here and the MLS is a lower standard than the Championship. In Austin and others we've seen ho...

Re: Rovers vBairns

I never said Cuthbert chucked the ball in for the first 3. I thought he was poorly positioned for the free kick. I thought Bob had gone too wide, but decent shot by him (rifled the shot in) for the second. And only the 3rd was Cuthbert totally at fault for. So why say I exaggerated? :) Who said tha...

Re: Rovers vBairns

John Markies summation looks bang on once the highlights are viewed. Glad of the win but the score line flatters as it looks like Raiths keeper chucked three of them in yesterday! Hippolytes goal well taken and good save but the one we conceded was poor again. The goal we conceded should not have s...

Re: Rankin Gone

Realistically last season was a success.
This season has been pretty grim so far but the next couple of weeks may change things, or not, so too early to judge.

Re: Rankin Gone

A Dundee Utd fan at work thought Rankin would do a good job for us but...................... In fairness he probably would have been a good signing if we didn't already have Kerr, Sibbald and Taiwo, but we do so it was a stupid signing. Also fair play to the guy for instigating the decision to leav...

Re: Deniz Requests to Leave

You can get an emergency goalkeeper in any time though. We went for years without two experienced goalkeepers without an issue. The problem with rogers is his training and international commitments. If it wasnt for them I'd just go with him and mcminn. My main concern is an injury to Rogers during ...

Re: Deniz Requests to Leave

Dont understand the issue with signing a replacement keeper. This is the most specialised position in the team, it would be irresponsible to leave yourself exposed with only one senior keeper on the books. Never been a great fan of Rogers but he is well into his second season with us now which is lo...

Re: Jim McCafferty

Don't blow this out of proportion. He was hired as a kit man. Not as a youth team shower attendant. He also immediately left (obviously) when things came to light. Incredibly complacent post. Entirely missing the point that "when things came to light" at the various clubs he should not have been ab...

Madness would be great.

Re: Jim McCafferty

Surely if your employing someone though you'd at least get a reference or have a chat with his former employers ie celtic. Sounds to me like they booted out the cat for some reason and were struggling to get a replacement and so McCafferty was rushed into the job due to his past experience. He was ...

Re: Jim McCafferty

Am I the only one who is disappointed we as a club have said nothing? We clearly decided at the time to get shot of the problem for someone else to suffer and as a club we, IMO, should feel responsible for sweeping that under the carpet. Our gobshite in the Chairman's seat isn't normally as shy in ...

Re: u20's v Motherwell

There is too much of a gulf between the Development League and first team football.
The Reserves should be brought back ( I believe this is being talked about by the powers that be at Hampden ) this would allow the best youngsters to test themselves against and learn from experienced pro's.

Fair enough if that is the case but should not be happening during the football season.

Re: Rock the stadium

Had a wee look online to see who this Jess Glynn character is. Not much to find tbh.
Looks to me that she should be playing the Martell ( cant remember the new name ) rather than a football stadium.
Happy to be proved wrong though.

Re: Boxing Day/Hogmanay

Not been to East End for a while but it brings back many great memories of huge crowds and great atmospheres. The two pumpings we gave them in our first season up under Jeffries come to mind as does the 3-0 defeat when Gordon Marshall totally lost the plot. 'Jim Leishman, Scottish Footballs no1 bal...
