Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

It's been years since we looked like a home side at TFS. Can't actually recall the last time we looked great at home. SPL era? Promotion season? Houston tapped into it once or twice (Hibs playoff a great example). We've been a naive club for years. Not nasty or clever enough. All too nicey nicey fam...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

Didn't think that was too bad today to be honest. You say that every week, I assume you do it to be delibarately contrary. Last weeks game had at least some signs of promise, this weeks had none at all, perhaps beyond a decent performance from Petrivicius, aside from missing the only good chance we...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

Even at this relatively early stage of the season I think we're bound for the drop :-? If we have 0 points after the Dunfermline game then I think we're f*cked. Lose to Dunfermline and we could be as many as 11 points behind 8th and not even a quarter of the season gone! Just nothing we can ...

Re: Falkirk v Dundee Utd 22/9/18

Didn't think that was too bad today to be honest. In the last 5 years I've seen performances far, far worse. I understand that the season to date has been a complete disaster but taking this game in isolation and not allowing the prior 5 games to cloud judgement I though today was ok on the whole. N...

Re: vs Ayr Utd :Post Match

There’s plenty of ammunition to use against the board if that’s what you want. Players exercising freedom of choice is not one of them. Got to agree 100%. Finding this blame game of the BoD when players leave to be very odd to be honest. Like you say, plenty of other things to pick them apart over.

Re: vs Ayr Utd :Post Match

Watched on Falkirk TV. Thought we looked pretty comfortable in the first half. Sure Ayr weren't at the races but much of that came from us shutting them down well and imposing ourselves on the game. Looked good for our lead in my opinion. Second half was an odd one. I don't think we were an utter sh...

The club in reality is run by the MSG who sit behind the scenes not taking the flak.
Exactly. Lang isn't blameless but she gets some amount of unwarranted flak at times. Pretty impossible to get anything you like done when votes regularly go the other way

Re: Ross county v falkirk 1st Sept 18

I'm going to be a contrarian here. I think we have some decent players, we just have very inexperienced players, they don't know the rough and tumble of pro football. This would be fine and dandy, had we been looking to consolidate our place in the championship, unfortunately for them, we should be...

Re: Welcome Ray

For our BoD to be so seemingly aligned on this tells me that this has been as much to do with his attitude to club personnel as it is results. Pretty much my thinking too. I suspect there is all kinds of sh1t that happened behind the scenes that will no doubt find it's way out to the public. No dan...

Re: Welcome Ray

What a relief. Was fearing for the worst there. The more I think about it, the more I'm happy with this appointment. Not expecting miracles with the squad he's got to work with but hoping with some organisation and effort we'll start picking up some points to lift us up the table a bit. And that Mor...

Re: Hartley’s gone

McCall must have been close to joining going by the tweet yesterday about black smoke coming from the stadium. Unfortunately it looks like he changed his mind perhaps from an emotional plea by the Ayr chairman. I think he does feel like he's got unfinished business with us but when you consider whe...

Re: Hartley’s gone

Today shall forever be known as Black Thursday. What a shambles. Of all the names mentioned I'd rather say sod it and leave Young in charge for a couple of weeks. This is some low sh1t today though. You can just tell we'll end up with some football dinosaur which will continue the slide into becomin...

Re: Hartley’s gone

Yogi isn't coming back, I think people could argue til they are blue in the face about him. He divides opinion. I thought he did well for a long time with us but I also thought he was a stubborn bugger. He got us into Europe but was 22 minutes away from relegating us the previous week . I personall...

Re: Hartley’s gone

Club have requested permission to speak to McCall and this has been granted. McCall unsure whether he would accept as he was treated poorly in his eyes on a previous occasion when he thought the job was his. This will be the time that he was lined up to replace May until the club found out about hi...

Re: Hartley’s gone

Genuinely surprised by this. Can only assume the BoD have someone lined up who can bring a couple of players with him before the window shuts on Friday. I hadn't seen much of us this season so this feels a little premature to me but I'm guessing comments made over the weekend, particularly around tr...

Re: Who is Richard Mitchell?

Nothing would surprise me at this club but surely to f*ck someone had the brains to do some due diligence to prevent this sort of thing?! Or have contracts drafted in a way that would allow terminations if ever a conflict of interest like this was found (and not waived)? Who knows - could just be th...

Re: Hartley OUT

I wouldn't pin the blame on Hartley for the whole Miller/Kerr thing. Doubt we'll ever know the full story on this one but both were doing their best to f*ck Houston off all of last Summer and it was, for me at least, the right decision to tell them to bugger off. I've been fortunate enough to have o...

Re: QoS 25/8/18

Can't get away with the new squad excuse any longer. He made the bulk of his signings very early (thumbs up for that) and though it's a joke of a tournament the league cup offered some extra competitive early games. They've now had a weekend off on top to work on things. I can't make tomorrow - a bl...

Re: Thistle away

Only caught the 2nd half and even then FTV was ropey until the last 25 minutes or so. I'm guessing from fan meltdown that the 1st half was truly dreadful. From what I saw in the second though I thought we looked ok. I do think Partick probably thought it was in the bag and levels dropped a bit thoug...
