Re: Thistle away

Only caught the 2nd half and even then FTV was ropey until the last 25 minutes or so. I'm guessing from fan meltdown that the 1st half was truly dreadful. From what I saw in the second though I thought we looked ok. I do think Partick probably thought it was in the bag and levels dropped a bit thoug...

Re: Vs ICT

A lot of knicker wetting in the stands and on Facebook since 4:45pm, Saturday. Was amazed to read some saying it was the worst performance they had seen in a long time ffs. We huffed and puffed and didn't look great by any stretch but neither did we, on the whole, look like t1ts. I have some concern...

Re: Signings on the way

It's probably the toughest Championship for bookies to call in a very long time. Bookies won't have a scooby doo on half of the signings made - certainly not the ones we have made. To be honest, I suspect pundits will have a nightmare calling it this season too. I still feel we'll finish in the top ...

Re: 18/19 Predictions and Premonitions

With the exception of losing Sibbald, I'd argue our current squad isn't any worse than the squad we had last season. To stress the point again, under Hartley for a full season, the form guide was telling us that that useless bunch would've likely achieved top 4. I'm not concerned about Dundee Utd. T...

A surprising move - probably says more about the quality of the bottom half of the SPL than anything else.

Good luck to him though - gave his all for us.

Re: 18/19 Predictions and Premonitions

ICT to win the league this season for me. I don't expect much from Partick or County and suspect Dunfermline may take a mild slump. Looking at Hartley's form since taking over, had he been there for the season it's likely we would have finished top 4. With the squad he had that's pretty encouraging....

Re: Club Statement

Id be amazed if this season was the highest playing budget since we made the drop back down. We had a season (or was it two?) with Burton O'Brien on the payroll in this division ffs! Moutinho, Higginbotham, Flynn, Millar, even McManus would all have likely been getting paid a decent amount more than...

My  wasn't because I thought it was a dreadful idea, more due to believing it will never happen! He'd def do an Owen Coyole level of work/contribution.

hartley has identified some proper targets for summer.
Heard a belter of a rumour yesterday that Kenny Miller would be signing as a player coach next term

Re: Falkirk vs. Dunfermline 07-04-18

Don't take this as blindly following Hartley but over the past month or two he, to me at least, appears to be sending a very clear message out to a selection of players he doesn't want about next season (Loy, Taiwo, etc, etc). I think he knew that starting 11 and bench technically wasn't our stronge...

Re: QotS v Falkirk

Got to admit I'm a little surprised too with the softening of opinions on Muirhead. We need better than him to get out of this league and he has to be moved on. If Loy and Harris (McKee too?) stick to their guns then Hartley's squad building for next season will be crippled somewhat largely leaving ...

Re: QotS v Falkirk

I just can't see past 5 away games in the final 7. It's a very tall order to get the 15 or 16 points or so we'd need to be in with a chance of pulling off the unlikeliest of league finishes. So I agree that Tuesday's match will be important. Win and 6th+ final position beckons. Lose and it's anyone'...

Re: falkirk v Brechin 31st march 2018

Will be interesting to see what Watford do with Jakubiak. I think his contract is up in the Summer. He's clearly too good for the Scottish Championship. Should Watford go down, he's not what they're needing to get back up quickly. I guess I am just praying that whatever happens we can somehow get hi...

Re: revised season expectations ??

Unless something miraculous happens in the Summer I've pretty much written off next season myself to be honest. I'm approaching 2018/19 with some "under promise, over deliver" hopes though.

30 or 40 - who cares?! Hartley is known for wanting a small squad of "quality" to work with so there should be one hell of a clear out in June/July. It's much needed.

Re: Bairns v Franchise FC

Has to be same starting 11 as last Saturday. I genuinely think Blair brought something to the side that Taiwo has been lacking. It'll do us no good just sitting deep trying to ropeadope this lot. I said this before the last time we played this lot - keep the ball on the deck and with short pass and ...
