Re: Signings on the way

How anybody can claim we will win the league or are behind other clubs in our signings is ludicrous. Until we see the players in a falkirk shirt and the opponents in theirs we have no way of knowing. Some folk need to have word with themselves

Re: We really are a bunch of moaning gits.

I too am excited about the season ahead more so than in any recent season. That doesn’t mean however that I don’t have a wee voice at the back of my head saying let’s wait and see what these guys are like first. The key difference is that previously I saw the club sign players I knew weren’t good en...

Re: Signings on the way

Exciting times and at least given we no little about the majority of the signings we can look forward to the new season with real optimism which many of our rivals can’t say. Each of these players will begin to be judged when the league starts and Hartley, Campbell and Lang’s reign will be judged al...

Re: Signings on the way

Whilst it would be nice to see a steady stream of signings announced I am not concerned at this stage. Delighted we haven’t signed some of the jobbers doing the rounds and happy to wait and see what develops. For me it’s all about the first league game of the season that’s when it matters and that’s...

Hartley to St Mirren

I heard earlier in the week that Hartley had been given permission to speak to St Mirren as one of their shortlisted candidates for the job and I see the sun have reported something similar today. I wonder if that’s why there has been a pause in the signings this year whilst the board assess whether...

Yes Mark Stewart was way behind those 2 but he still might have been the leagues top scorer if I remember right

Re: MMMMMMMMM Dennon!

Farid , Taylor and to a lesser extent Loy first time round all banged the goals in. In fact did we not have the leagues top scorer 3 years running in Mark Stewart, Farid and then Taylor?

Re: MMMMMMMMM Dennon!

This guy shows plenty of promise on the clips so hoping that translates into performances for us. I think I am probably alone in not wanting Nelson to return. If we were to have 5 strikers then fine but based on what I saw last season I don’t think Nelson is good enough to play up front in a title w...

Re: The clear-out

I agree reserve football is better than development football but this wasn’t a choice of the club anyway as there is no u20 league any more. Where I am slightly concerned is that it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that the reserve team will be more expensive than the u20s so not sure whe...

Re: Tom Dallison

Like the fact the lad is 6ft4 as we need some steel in the side. Pedigree means nothing to me will wait and see what the lad is like when the season gets going. We’ve had guys come in with great pedigree that are awful and guys from shoot backgrounds who have done very well. Just good to see the reb...

Re: season ticket sales 2018/19

Not for me jak and possibly Robson aside I wouldn’t have any of them in a first XI capable of winning this league. If your point is he was signing players to finish 8th then you do have a point however. I would though take issue with Hazard as he has been a complete waste of a wage and Blair hasn’t ...

Re: season ticket sales 2018/19

Biggest concern is that Hartley will wield the knife and given some of his signings and team selections we are left with the worst of the players we have and bring in a few more diddies to join them. He must get the majority of his signings right and that will determine whether he’s still our manage...

Re: Club Statement

Well said Olaf. I note our esteemed chief exec goes to ground on social media anytime there is a whiff of any trouble. Various people have requested clarification on Twitter and he flat ignores them. He has form for this too. The sooner we get rid of him the better and as Olaf says he’s costing us 2...

Re: Club Statement

It does seem Mr Campbell likes to be creative with the numbers he has form for this. I also note since his arrival the community project now gets top billing within the club something we saw last night at the awards. As far as I am aware the foundation have moved their games and training away from t...

Re: Dumbarton Away

Wasn’t at the game yesterday but delighted to see the result and must say surprised at the margin of victory. Dumbarton fans suggesting they rested a few players ahead of the playoffs. Looking at the last 3 fixtures 9 points from the 2saints game and Dumbarton away looks to have been much more achie...
