Re: vs Ayr Utd :Post Match

[quote="John Markie] What really gets my goat is losing some decent kids along the way that would certainly be better than the likes of the three duds you name above. Jonny Mitchell, for example, would have been a shining star in that back line. So angry that we gave him away. We didn't give him aw...

Re: Artificial Pitches

Holt claiming responsibility for the installation of our artificial surface. Can't seem to remember if this was widely known at the time :?: "It enhanced our play" Could've fooled me. We're still in this division Gary. He got us closer to promotion than Pressley, Houston or Hartley. If it wasn't fo...

Zak Rudden scored for Scotland U19s tonight. I know it’s unrelated but couldnt be bothered to post a new thread.

Re: Club Statement

Yeh fair play to Olaf. He saw right through that management talk.

Just shows how in football all that matters are first team results. If you don’t get them then most other things are inconsequential.

Re: Who is Richard Mitchell?

... Be interesting to see if he can already get a few free transfers/loan signings made and potentially move on some of the duff players we've already amassed . I'm optimistic about his appointment. On your point above, I think the only ones who there may be no hope for is TOE, Harrison and Paton. ...

Re: Who is Richard Mitchell?

Just shows you how insincere all the management chat is in football about getting the right player in and then talking up the player when he signs when it's clear they have never watched them play. At least get them in to training for a few days and try judge them before signing them up. Anyway glad...

Re: Hartley’s gone

People wanting Pressley or Hughes back. Christ sake we did nothing under Pressley and did you not see the car crash that was Hughes at Raith Rovers? Starting strikers in goals and falling out with everyone. Theirs options like Hopkin and McIntyre I'd take before either of those clowns. I agree with...

Re: The EX-Bairn Files

Stumbled across this article featuring Mark Finlayson and was alarmed to read that the majority of the development squad didn’t want to be at Falkirk  Another indicator of something rotten in the way the club is being run or sour grapes. Need to hear more abour why he didn’t enjoy it so mayb...

That’s a fair assessment John Markie.

Jones what do you mean about comments in training? I’ve not heard that chat!

Also what was the chat about that guy Olaf was Googling? Was there some rumour about him too?

Re: Hartley’s gone

The thing about Pressley is that I don’t think he is particularly well liked in Scottish football. That may be ok for young players like he had last time but we need someone who can inspire and be respected by those players we have and I just don’t see Pressley doing that. Plus I wasn’t over awed by...

Hartley’s gone

Didn’t expect this to happen so quickly but think the board were left no choice given results and performances.

Not sure who I want to replace him though. Definitely not Duffy anyway.

Re: Hartley OUT

I agree with Jones regarding the Miller/Kerr situation. Something wasn’t right before Hartley came in and he was left with a bad situation. Again the only stuff about painting them as trouble makers was from friends of Lee Miller. There was nothing from the club or Hartley that he publicly labelled ...

Re: Hartley OUT

I see no option either to be honest. I wouldn’t mind the results so much if you could see progression in organisation or a decent style of football but having been to the Partick and Rangers Colts game nothing was evident in our play that made me hopeful that things could turn around. He had a free ...

Re: We really are a bunch of moaning gits.

Grown men booing must be up there with the most cringeworthy things you can see in life. All they are missing is a wee dummy in their mouth and a rattle to throw out their cots. Utterly and completely embarrassing. Couldnt agree more although there is something comedic about seeing grown men boo wh...

Re: PFA Pitch Ratings Report

Interesting that we came 6th out of all the pitches in the Championship and 25th of all 42 league clubs. Could this study beg the question: Does our pitch help or hinder the team overall. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a bog or a crap AstroTurf both teams have to play on it and the advantage should al...

Re: Parents be aware

By that token, if theyre judging the children on what age they reach at a stage during the season, should someone who is of 'concession' age during the season not be able to buy it at the cheaper price ? :) Exactly if they do it that way then people who reach OAP age should be able to buy a concess...

Re: Parents be aware

when going to renew my season tickets and my grandson who is 11 ( 12 in November ) I do not get him free because he is 12 before 31st December therefore has to be paid for, but if you have a child who is 12 on the 1st of January 2019 you don't have to pay for them I was rather taken aback as I did ...

Yeh no doubt!

I’d much rather he had a perm!

Edited to add: I’ll go out on a limb and say that by and large the most promising young stars don’t have tattoo sleeves!

Re: Sibbald signs for Ferranti thistle

If I was a professional footballer there are a few things as a Falkirk fan that I would never do. One of them is sign for Toni Macaroni FC. It's true he'd stagnated quite some time ago and needed change, way before now. But to move where he has is just to basically give up. Scottish football is an ...
