Re: PFA Pitch Ratings Report

Interesting that we came 6th out of all the pitches in the Championship and 25th of all 42 league clubs. Could this study beg the question: Does our pitch help or hinder the team overall. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a bog or a crap AstroTurf both teams have to play on it and the advantage should al...

Re: Parents be aware

By that token, if theyre judging the children on what age they reach at a stage during the season, should someone who is of 'concession' age during the season not be able to buy it at the cheaper price ? :) Exactly if they do it that way then people who reach OAP age should be able to buy a concess...

Re: Parents be aware

when going to renew my season tickets and my grandson who is 11 ( 12 in November ) I do not get him free because he is 12 before 31st December therefore has to be paid for, but if you have a child who is 12 on the 1st of January 2019 you don't have to pay for them I was rather taken aback as I did ...

Re: Sibbald signs for Ferranti thistle

If ever he needs any motivation to prove himself to the "fans" of our club, all he has to do is read the utter p1sh being spouted on this forum. Good luck wee man. Thanks for the memories. I don’t think anyone’s been too harsh on him and most points are fair enough. I did say my tattoo point was to...

Showing your age there Dade
Yeh no doubt!

I’d much rather he had a perm!

Edited to add: I’ll go out on a limb and say that by and large the most promising young stars don’t have tattoo sleeves!

Re: Sibbald signs for Ferranti thistle

If I was a professional footballer there are a few things as a Falkirk fan that I would never do. One of them is sign for Toni Macaroni FC. It's true he'd stagnated quite some time ago and needed change, way before now. But to move where he has is just to basically give up. Scottish football is an ...

Re: Sibbald signs for Ferranti thistle

In a footballing world where stats are almost everything, look at our last signing the reserve coach/performance analyst clubs look at number of sprints, distance run, assists etc... If you look at the last few seasons on TM Sibbald 2017/18 - Played 26 - Scored 4 - Assists 6 2016/17 - Played 36 - S...

Re: Sibbald signs for Ferranti thistle

I really don’t get this at all. Yes he wants to test himself in the Premiership however the Championship is as good a place as any to prove your worth and get a move to a bigger club. The problem about Sibbald is that he hasn’t convinced anyone that he’s good enough to join a bigger club at this mom...

18 in 34 is pretty good - didn't recall Marino scoring so many.
Yeh was 17 in 29 in the league too.

[quote="Brian Scrimegour" post_id=570663 time=1526847647 user_id=135] Just a shame when we got to the playoff final we didnt get to play a team as honking as thistle. A few teams that were in playoffs Killie and Motherwell have pulled away had had decent seasons now. Ev...

Re: Patrick Brough

“He was brilliant in 2008” is a bad recruitment model 99% of the time. Yeh but the suggestion there would be that he’s done nothing since then. That’s not the case. I’m actually not bothered either way on this one. He could definitely offer something but the guys also a perennial bawbag so could be...

[quote="Brian Scrimegour" post_id=570590 time=1526030584 user_id=135] We're going to have to have players to play in the reserves that can cover a number of positions. Better having the likes of Kidd and O'Hara on cheap wages than wasting cash on wages and signing on fe...

Re: Tom Dallison

He’s barely played any first team football and the small amount he has played has been at a low standard so I see nothing to get excited about as of yet.

All that matters is if he is good which we won’t really know till August. Still, it’s better than signing someone that we know is dross!

Can understand the thoughts about some being contracted till the end of May however just thought that if that is the case for others that are unwanted then why not pay them till the end of their contract and let them go now? No club wanting them will c...

This all feels a bit like the footballing equivalent of the French Revolution, and the crowd are getting restless waiting on the next player being brought out for their turn on the contractual guillotine. Time to get the knitting out. Am going to try to keep the heid, and trust Hartley to get this ...
