Re: Scumfermline v Falkirk

On yesterdays performance, I feel we could get by without Petra and Rudden to be honest. Any more though and we should look to postpone. These international games + some injuries really does leave us scraping the barrel. I haven’t seen enough of Rudden to comment but he’s scored 4 goals in 9 appear...

Re: Falkirk v Ayr Utd

There is a big difference to conscripts fighting in WW1 and WW2 to professional soldiers fighting after 1960, it’s a job, no more deserving of respect than doctors, nurses, fireman and police. Spot on. It was only a few years ago that I realised people had started tagging on the post WW2 stuff. Nev...

Re: Falkirk vs Ross County

Agree with you about the one minute's silence. Why is it that people feel obliged to do one minute's silence for people that you never met. Not having one doesn't mean you don't care or feel affected by an incident. Also what comfort does it give to people that strangers have held a vigil or Falkirk...

Minutes silence tonight. Farce
I thought that was a bit odd to be honest. If he gets a minutes silence then why didn't Barry Chuckle?
Who got a minute’s silence?

Re: Falkirk vs Ross County

Clear apathy here when less than 4 hours before kick off there is no thread about tonights game. I considered going but really don’t fancy paying £20 to sit behind the goals and see us get humped by Ross County. I then remembered that I booked tickets to go see Beetlejuice. Much better entertainmen...

It only applies to penalties.

And this was one of the simplest red card decisions you'll ever see. Can't believe anyone is arguing against it.
That’s right it wasn’t a penalty! Getting mixed up there.

Yes clear red card and agree that I can’t understand why anyone would suggest otherwise.

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

Isn't the current rule not something along the lines of it only being a straight red if the fouling player makes no genuine attempt to play the ball. May be only if it's the double jeopardy scenario with a penalty but I'm sure that's what it changed to ahead of the World Cup. I don't really care ei...

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

Agree to disagree  Ultimately Fasan is out this week so every cloud... Come on Nis! Do you only consider it a clear goal scoring opportunity if they are 5 yards out with the full goal gaping? Look at Hyppolytes goal against Rangers. If Foderingham had taken out Hippolyte would you argue that ...

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

The rule is clear goal scoring opportunity not last man!! If rounding the goaleeper and having an empty net to aim at is not a clear goal scoring opportunity then I don’t know what is!? I stand corrected on the terminology but having watched the incident again the Morton player still has a lot to d...

Re: Scott McDonald Signed?

Post match says he was close to signing but was too busy with media work what a shame could have made the difference. If his concentration is on media work then I doubt he’d be worth us signing, as bad and desperate as we are. Need players who are 100% focused on fighting for survival and not a jou...

Re: How to stop the rot?

Although I expect the inevitable and possible justified ‘not interested in scotland’ and ‘**** the sfa’ Comments, isn’t it just another kick in the baws for falkirk/Scotland fans that the national team seem to have some sort of psychic **** up mentality. Sh1t defence, no proven goal scorer and just...

I’ll take that! :clink:

In all seriousness though it’s not too hard to have reservations about these guys when you look at their backgrounds.

Sammut was the only one I was genuinely excited about.

4 players away

Just realised Froxy, Greenwood and Mackin and cancelled Turners loan.

How much more can we clear out?

Re: New TV deal

And so you'll be happy when we return the portion of the (greater than before) prize money we will be entitled to, as 99% of televised matches are from the Premiership? It's all just dumped into the same pot and that's fair, surely? How much extra money do the former SFL clubs receive from the top ...

New TV deal

Just reading this about the new TV deal. Totally shocking that the lions share of the money goes to the top flight but hardly surprising and we only have ourselves to blame for signing the merger deal, all for a heavily weighted play-off structure. The thing is that it could end up costing clubs mon...

... I guess you have to weigh all these things before deciding if the academy was worth it. I know which model I thought was worth it  Well let’s look at it this way, this last 2 times we won this division there was no academy(that I know of) and we still managed to emerge young talent such a...
