18 in 34 is pretty good - didn't recall Marino scoring so many.
Yeh was 17 in 29 in the league too.

[quote="Brian Scrimegour" post_id=570663 time=1526847647 user_id=135] Just a shame when we got to the playoff final we didnt get to play a team as honking as thistle. A few teams that were in playoffs Killie and Motherwell have pulled away had had decent seasons now. Ev...

Not getting too excited from that showreel. The standard he’s playing at looks absolutely awful.

Re: Patrick Brough

“He was brilliant in 2008” is a bad recruitment model 99% of the time. Yeh but the suggestion there would be that he’s done nothing since then. That’s not the case. I’m actually not bothered either way on this one. He could definitely offer something but the guys also a perennial bawbag so could be...

If we had Stokes and Kenny Miller up front next season then I’d be pretty chuffed with that.

Scobbie wasn’t even good enough when we first dropped down to this division.

[quote="Brian Scrimegour" post_id=570590 time=1526030584 user_id=135] We're going to have to have players to play in the reserves that can cover a number of positions. Better having the likes of Kidd and O'Hara on cheap wages than wasting cash on wages and signing on fe...

Re: Tom Dallison

He’s barely played any first team football and the small amount he has played has been at a low standard so I see nothing to get excited about as of yet.

All that matters is if he is good which we won’t really know till August. Still, it’s better than signing someone that we know is dross!

Re: The clear-out

Was just thinking about the contract situation. Can understand the thoughts about some being contracted till the end of May however just thought that if that is the case for others that are unwanted then why not pay them till the end of their contract and let them go now? No club wanting them will c...

Re: The clear-out

This all feels a bit like the footballing equivalent of the French Revolution, and the crowd are getting restless waiting on the next player being brought out for their turn on the contractual guillotine. Time to get the knitting out. Am going to try to keep the heid, and trust Hartley to get this ...

Re: falkirk v st mirren 28th April 2018

Wasn’t there today but if there was a huge Smith love in then I don’t get it either. People like Jim Dawson and Sarah Scott left without any recognition. That doesn’t mean to say that future staff shouldn’t be rewarded with such aplomb but it always felt to me like we were doing Smith a favour than ...

Re: falkirk v st mirren 28th April 2018

To put it in perspective too, St.Mirren, only finished the league with 4 points more than we did in 2015/16 with Hibs and Rangers in the league and 9 points short of our total in 2002/03.

Don’t know what my point is but just saying.

To be honest, I'm as cynical as anyone and the discerners did raise a few noteworthy points.

Like Rusty Nail says people are at there most vociferous when they have something to moan about but hopefully next season will be the opposite.

Re: falkirk v st mirren 28th April 2018

if its a nice day, I might give this a miss. I am completely bewildered by the Alex Smith love in - Smith and his ilk are one of the main reasons Scottish football is so crap. Only last year he was saying Rangers(sic) and Celtic should buy clubs like ours and use them as youth fodder. Why is he bei...

Re: Club Statement

Brian, just cause you wouldn’t want to watch a game from that level it doesn’t mean others won’t. The managers have to stand and observe the match at that level so sure some supporters would be happy to stand there too if it meant getting closer to the action. Also right behind the hoardings wasn’t ...

Re: Club Statement

I'm happy with Hartley and what he's done to date. he's been ruthless when he's had to be and his interviews are pretty decent post match. the form since he took over has been pretty much play off and that s starting from a terrible position in terms of morale and personnel. I like the fact he look...

Re: Club Statement

Great statement. With regards to the safe standing, why don’t they allow supporters to stand along the east tochline behind the advertising boards? That would make for a better atmosphere and you could undoubtedly fit 300 fans there therefore saving the £30,000 needed to make safe standing in the S...
