Re: Dumbarton Away

Wasn't there but result was good. However, it doesn't tell us much unless certain players did enough to keep themselves in a job. This Saturday will be a test as I think Jack Ross will be going all out to avoid a second defeat to us in less than a fortnight

Re: St Mirren Away

OK. Thank f**k we don't have to. Delighted that Sibbald was the man to nail it. Why, does it justify a contract extension? We should be trying to keep Sibbs for as long as possible. One of very few who deserves it. He may make mistakes but he plays for the jersey and has a bit of class about him at...

Re: Our Season in Quarters

I can see them getting round this by having Alex Smith doing a lap of honour at the end of the match. I can also see the players crawling round with him to take in the applause. I hope this doesn't happen but I wouldnt be surprised. I heard that Alex can do 400 metres in a minute so they will need ...

Re: Our Season in Quarters

See at the last game of the season when they do that lap of honour thing I think the whole crowd should exit the stadium on the final whistle but should leave behind a banner saying "unacceptable" Hopefully they won't be stupid enough to do that unless they win their last 3 games. Worst season sinc...

Failure to make the playoffs next season would be a disaster financially for the club. If Hartley can’t do that on an increased budget then he must go.
tend to agree

Re: Inverness away

I think we will get 1 point from our remaining games and finish 8th as i don't think Dumbarton will get any more than that. Its been a horrible season overall and we are taking a big risk in this big rebuilding Hartley is to do. How long do we give him for example if we are in the bottom half in Oct...

Re: John Lambie

Came in to the managers job at completely the wrong time for us. That he left a safe job in Maryhill, showed the depth of feeling he had for the club. That it didn't work, & the outcome, is probably regrettable on both parts. Can remember his Accies side that left everybody trailing, back in 86, wh...

Re: season ticket sales 2018/19

Of course you’ll all renew. Being a Falkirk fan isn’t a matter of choice FFC is our local team and you have to support them through thick and thin. There have been a lot worse times than this. We can all recall serious bad times. Can I suggest Tommy Younger, Sammy Kean, John Prentice, Billy Clark?,...

I wonder what the yellow and red card count will be this time. Also - surely no eyeballs.

Re: The clear-out

I think for the first time in my 35 odd years of watching Falkirk, I would be not bothered one jot if the full team were let go. There is not one player I feel is of such a level they are absolutely worth keeping. Sibbs is the only player I truly have any genuine feelings for, just because we all k...

I'm keeping my powder dry on this until the play offs up and down are mathematically decided. still a lot to play for
I'm still looking down at Inverness and Dumbarton with this run of very hard games after Saturday!

Re: revised season expectations ??

Yes first and foremost we need to get safely away from Dumbarton and Inverness. If we were to lose the 4 away matches we have between the 3rd and 17th April, we could be back in 9th. If we win them all, we can look at 4th place as a possibility. I still feel we may climb another place or 2 but won't...

I'd consider playing mcghee in the middle of the park for this one to give us a bit more physicality in there. They outmuscled us in the last game.
good idea

Re: Bairns v Franchise FC

Its all well and good talking about short passes but their pitch is horrible and makes that type of game tricky. I'd swap Taiwo or Kidd for Longridge for this game. I think a midfield 3 of Taiwo/Kidd, Blair and Sibbald is quite balanced. We'll do well to get a draw, but I hope we skelp this mob. I ...

Re: Bairns v Franchise FC

Good that we all noticed that we chose to hump long balls in the last home game against them, which was totally useless. It will be very tough and I think the best we will get will be a draw. If anyone thinks we have any chance of making the ''good'' play-offs, we really need to win just about every...
