Hasn’t the Hartley era taught you anything? ...
Didn't you specifically call Houston 'lazy' because he didn't do what Hartley did but now we are meant to keep to the tried and tested since it didn't work

... or an eighteen year old kid who has never played first team football. Struggle to see where the goals are coming from, the loss of Rudden is massive... *Irony klaxon* Lavery is older (20) and has played probably at a higher level than Rudden (18) with Northern Ireland and Everton albeit not in ...

PTFC v Falkirk : 12th January 2019

With a point separating us from Partick and hoping to close the gap on Alloa and haul ourselves out of the relegation play-offs this is shaping up to be a cracker. We need to do ourselves a turn and beat Thistle. Hoping after last week's result the players will be buoyed and push on. Added to that w...

Re: FFC v DAFC 29/12

... I'll be pretty disappointed if he remains our #1 attacking option at the end of the transfer window. Must do better. I agree he’s no Stokes or Farid but so poor were the others (namely Lewis and Haber) that had we been without him completely I agree with Dade we’d be much worse off than where w...

Re: Fan Ownership

** BUMP **

The seemingly annual floating of fan ownership takes place tonight. Hopefully the club site and FH can provide detail after the fact for those who can’t attend.

One thing that has changed inside the Falkirk Stadium. Seems the club are cleaning up off the pitch!

Shayne Lavery

Joining on loan apparently to kick-start his career.

Is a senior Northern Irish international but doesn't appear to have a lot of 1st team experience. Hopefully better than some of the previous English academy graduates we've had.

Re: The New January Arrivals

I don't think we'll regret any of that lot leaving in the future.

Lewis to sign for non-league and Sammut to return to Chelsea to see out his contract in anonymity.

Bauben a gamble at the time which probably failed.

Mark Waddington arrives from Stoke City on loan.

Another midfielder by all accounts.

Announcements of more departures tomorrow?

Ayr Utd v Falkirk : 05th January 2019

This game perhaps takes on an air of the unknown as we will hopefully be fielding a few new faces depending on how many more comings-and-goings take place between now and Saturday afternoon. I don't see us taking anything from the game unfortunately but hoping we get a dose of optimism from the new ...

Re: The EX-Bairn Files

Lee Bullen continues in the coaching setup at Sheffield Wednesday under Steve Bruce who was appointed today.

Someone like Bullen as Director of Football would be interesting appointment if we were still going down that road.

Re: The New January Arrivals

I'm more interested in the outs than ins frankly.

Any scenario which leaves the opportunity for Major Disaster (Captain Muirhead) available for selection will ruin my January window!

They say the Captain sets the standards. Having Muirhead with the armband it was obvious this sh*tshow was coming.

Re: FFC v DAFC 29/12

... Oh, & take Airhead with you. Muirhead sums up exactly how far we've fallen. That he is captain and starter is galling all things considered. He has to go sooner than later. I said today that Falkirk used to be a stop on the rung to greater things for some players whereas now we are probably the...

Every single one of that shower can go :x There isn't a single one who I'd keep as they have now proven they don't have the ability or stomach for the fight. On today I'd give Harrison 'praise' but only in so much as he showed more skill and composure than any of our other players possess for our 2n...

Dixon officially joins on January 1
I assumed he was a free agent and available. He was released in November by Grimsby Town.

Has to be an automatic starter on Saturday or else another like Bauben and Doumbaya who are squad fillers and not what we need urgently.

Re: The New January Arrivals

Haber has also been told that he can find a new club (released by Dundee) - here's hoping that the restraining order is in place to stop him returning anywhere near the Fife side of the Kincardine Bridge! I'm hoping that Haber returned to Canada for Xmas and is currently planning on remaining there...

Re: Du v Falkirk

Bauben caught ball watching at the 1st and Habers "attempt" at defending the 2nd pretty similar to his forward play - token effort and sooner he is sent back to Dundee the better. He has spent 6 months going through the motions and the South Stand has more chance of scoring a goal for us than he doe...
