Re: Partick today.

Some folk can't see the woods for the trees. From where we are now to where we were earlier this team would've lost that game today. The crocks now will be the ones putting in the shift at the business end I have no doubt. McKinnon has earned it as he has at least managed to get the shower Hartley ...

Re: Partick today.

Not sure what Kiddy is on about. Lewis could have the best service going and he still wouldn't score as he just can't play the position. End of. Few stray passes but we let Thistle have it as they too are toothless. Referee was inconsistent if I was being kind and Quitongo deserved a yellow for thro...

Re: The EX-Bairn Files

Robbie Neilson could teach PH a thing or two about recruitment!
Robbie Neilson wrote: "Continuity in football is very underrated - even in the recruitment side of it," the United manager said.

"We've got a very good squad here already and we can't be turning over 12 or 14 players every season.

Re: Scumfermline v Falkirk

Finally we seem to be getting our act together and the team is gelling. Good goal by Rudden which is what he and the team have been needing. We will be confident heading into the Thistle game whilst they have problems of their own. It's definitely a must-see game next week regardless of missing pers...

Re: Falkirk vs Ross County

Bold selection tonight with both centre-halfs dropped and fans favourite Robson in. Did McKinnon finally lose patience with Dallison and Harrison and is he also using Robson to prove a point to the fans. Still can't see us winning with Muirhead at the back but he's marginally better than the aforeme...

Re: Falkirk vs Ross County

I can’t make it but don’t particularly feel like I’m missing out. I’ve still to see us score a goal at home this season and even if I had been attending I am certain that would still be the case. There is no scenario where I expect the outcome to be different than defeat and Ross County will be ahea...

25% of Paul Hartley's signings gone in 3 months and still plenty more you could argue should be next

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

The rule is clear goal scoring opportunity not last man!! If rounding the goaleeper and having an empty net to aim at is not a clear goal scoring opportunity then I don’t know what is!? I stand corrected on the terminology but having watched the incident again the Morton player still has a lot to d...

Trialists v Dunfermline Reserves

Frank Betra and Ola Adeyemo reported in the Falkirk Herald.

However, I would temper any optimism as:
  1. Relative unknowns are not our strong suit this year!
  2. @ScotInglisEFM (journo) doesn't speak favourably about Adeyemo and his time at East Fife :thumbsdown

Championship : QotS v Falkirk : 27th October

Same ol' Same ol'

We must try and pick up 3 points and hope that Alloa fail.

The usual game plan of stop Dobbie applies but we've been pretty unsuccessful in previous attempts so here's hoping.

SCOTTISH CUP R3: Stenhousemuir v. Falkirk : 24th November

I was at Ochilview the last time we played Stenny in the cup and seem to remember we weren't fantastic that day either :? An interesting one this year as our usual hubris will probably be set aside as we could face a new nadir and be beaten by the Warriors in an already desperate season! Looking for...

Re: MORTON V FALKIRK - 20/10/18

Bad as we are, we are probably only a couple of players away from having a side that would be good enough to beat Morton. Watched the highlights and although by their nature they won't show the full story of the game you could see in the 1st half that we aren't totally hapless but it becomes eviden...

Re: Tom Dallison

What this thread and others of a similar vein goes to prove is those actively attacking the board for allowing this sh*tshow were taken in just as much as they were. It seems Dade was one of the few to express reservations about the experience (or lack of) that Dallison had. We were all seduced by m...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

... After January (loan deals permitting), no one other than McGhee, Robson, Rudden, Mitchell, Petra and maybe Brough should ever get near the first team again. I'd add McKee to that list as I suspect he's carrying an injury but is playing because he's better than the others we have in midfield e.g...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

It doesn't help when we don't have one defender who looks comfy enough to pass a ball out of defence. Everything is just cleared or half cleared. No Gerard Afjes, Cedric Uras or Murray Wallace. Dallison appears to be the one who was meant to fulfil that role but hasn't realised 8 games in to his se...

Re: Falkirk v Scumfermline 06/10/18

Think Ray boobed by bulleting 4 on Friday. That he got a "we don't care" performance from the team today, would suggest he'd have been better waiting till Monday to do that. After the game was out of the road. If I were any of the four of them I'd seriously be considering giving it up. If I couldn'...
