Re: Dumbarton Away

Yesterday's result typifies the standards of 1F, three moans before kick off and after the "Bairns" knock in FIVE goals away at Dumbarton, which has been a bogey ground for Falkirk, NOTHING! The excuse will be that it is a meaningless fixture. None of you like taking to the keyboard after a win but...

OK. Thank f**k we don't have to. Delighted that Sibbald was the man to nail it.
Why, does it justify a contract extension?

Re: Dundee United Away

IMO PH has done well to have had us in with an outside chance of a top 4 finish, until the last two weeks. I commented before Christmas that he should walk away, as they were too far gone as much to being irretrievable. That it looks all but secure, is to his credit. As the penny appears to have dro...

Re: John Lambie

Came in to the managers job at completely the wrong time for us. That he left a safe job in Maryhill, showed the depth of feeling he had for the club. That it didn't work, & the outcome, is probably regrettable on both parts. Can remember his Accies side that left everybody trailing, back in 86, wh...

Re: Falkirk vs. Dunfermline 07-04-18

Beaten by the better team today. They had a game plan which worked. We didn’t. They were really solid a at the back and kept Yak and Nelson very quiet. Our passing and, in particular, crossing is appalling. McGee and Robson were terrible. Need wholesale changes for next season. I'd say that McGhee ...

Re: Bairns v Franchise FC

Will have to win the battle before imposing a style of play. Easier said than done against a team that's pulling in the same direction, with a lot of spirit.

Re: The EX-Bairn Files

Surely we’re not going to start bringing Independence politics into this? I’m a firm unionist but not fussy as to the politics of our national manager. It’s results that count. A unionist is just as much a Scot as any independence supporter!! You believe it's a region, not a nation, THAT'S what cou...

Scotland, a country that doesn't exist, managed by a guy who doesn't even believe it should exist!
You couldn't make it up.

Re: v Brechin Tuesday night

At times struggling to see who were the FT team. Fairly lucky to be 1 up, our defensive frailties on show with BC hitting the post, we somehow conjured a 2nd before HT. The second 45 was instantly forgettable, as we fannied about, to the point of looking like conceding a 2nd goal. Only Longridge's g...

Re: v ICT 27th Jan

Fairly even first half, which was marred by a fairly bizarre couple of minutes; where Mulraney clearly had the red must descending around him. His sending off handed the momentum straight to us. We made pretty good use of the extra man, playing into the space afforded, with movement creating further...

Re: Hartley to rebuild squad in transfer window

If he does go for a keeper, I'm surprised he hasn't gone for a C/H too. That would give him a complete backbone of signings that he want's in his side.
Someone in the mould of Dods/McCracken to organise at the back. As none of the current ones have that capability.

Where's Dunne off too?
Blackburn is the rumour
Playing in the East Region Juniors will certainly knock the corners off him. But surely playing with Kemlin, Bo'ness or Lithgae would be a bit better standard?

That's Kerr away now and maybe even Dunne!!!!

Hartley shows no mercy, get rid and get your own guys in ASAP.
I said weeks ago that this was a huge task, & that it was possibly too big.
He's giving it his best shot anyway.
